"Can Jindal beat John Breaux?"
Nope. If Breaux runs Jindal would be smart to stay where he is until Moon's baby girl comes up for reelection again.
Jindal would walk all over Blanco given her track record but Breaux is the most widely respected politician in the state and is untainted by scandal, if that's possible in this state. He'll be seen, if he runs, as a white knight riding to the rescue of his state and would pull the same North LA rural cracker vote that wouldn't vote for Jindal before.

I agree ... Breaux would be viewed as a Senior Statesman coming back to Louisiana [from Patton Boggs in D.C., the firm from which I believe he lobbies] to do good for the state when no one else can. I was always surprised that John was able to keep himself as "clean" as he seems to have done ... but, he would be seen by many as a thread of continuity with the good ol' days in Louisiana ... before the likes of Blanko came to power. Surely, no one outside of a federal facility knows where so many of "the bodies" are buried in Louisiana! LOL
