I'd say the network of tunnels negates any benefits of a wall. Seems like a waste.

I disagree. Over 99% of illegals enter the United States on foot. Tunneling takes a tremendous amount of money and effort to yield a very small volume of human traffic (tunnels are more effective for high-value goods and individuals). A wall allows fewer border guards to defend against foot traffic, and frees other forces to use technological means to defeat tunnel smuggling.

Remember the first live-saving step: STOP THE BLEEDING. Build the damned wall!

Good points. The general population fleeing Mexico will not have access to tunnels. Yet I think the two thoughts in conjunction would be far more effective than either one alone. Weall want to see this stopped!
