Hugo Chavez is getting in on the border fence issue, threatening to send his hippie army to bother us.

This is a reminder as to why that fence is being built: If we don't like Mexicans getting onto our land, we will like Hugo even less. Build that fence higher.

Typical Latin logic, apparently an affront to their machismos that someone would stand up to their idiotic actions. Myself if I were from these countries I would ask why do I have to leave my country to find prosperity?

I'd say the network of tunnels negates any benefits of a wall. Seems like a waste. Better to finance "Hunter" forces that are mobile and open fire on anyone who crosses. A show of force is the ONLY thing that will make an impression at this late date in the whole disaster that our border has become. Consequences? Well, consider the consequences of unabated illegal immigration shutting down private hospitals and the unending death at the hands of criminals who enter uncheck by our current open-door policy.

Unacceptable...and the Republicans are just as much scumbags as are the rats on this issue.

I think a "Bounty" placed on anyone who crosses DOA would be appropriate. Let the local militia in and give them an incentive to hunt down invaders. I'm fairly short of good will towards a people who simply have no respect for the friendship of our nation. In fact, I'd say it's time to show them an appropriate level of contempt.

President Bush has been great on most things except for our border.
He has been great on the war on terrorists.
But on the border he is a gross failure.
He acted fast and correct on the 3,000+ people murdered at the world trade center.
He ignores the many rapes, murders and robberies which might be larger than the murders and money loss at the world trade center.

Start building the fence.

It should be made a felony for Criminals who overstay their visas and Invaders.

I believe we should give amnesty to these poor CRIMINALS or INVADERS.
This should be a 2 week amnesty to get the heck out of our Country.
The ones who ignore this amnesty should be buried in a tent city jail and fined $10,000 or buried elsewhere.
All aiders and abettors of these CRIMINALS or INVADERS should get 1 year in a tent city jail and a $10,000 fine for each CRIMINAL aided.
Those in government should be the first ones charged.

Another reason to support building a fence.

Even Bagala and Carville stated that they support a fence.

If, as we are assured, the fences don't prevent illegal immigration, why bother protesting it?

The Duncan Hunter 15' Fence. Where it exists, there are no illegals walking into the USA.

"violating human rights"

When millions of illegal aliens cost American taxpayers BILLIONS of dollars every year to support, it's obvious that it's OUR human rights that are being violated, not theirs.

Build that wall, and build it HIGH, then start deporting the invaders that we have been forced to put up with and pay for.

If anyone mentions "cheap lettuce" I will puke.

Activists at the forum in Venezuela accuse the governments of the United States and Mexico of "violating human rights" and not protecting migrants.

Chavez, Castro and other communist purveyors of evil have no business dictating to us regarding "human rights" of people. Their record of bloodletting and killing is abysmal.

Build the wall Now to secure our nation and maintain our sovereignty. Anything less violates our leaders' and representatives' oaths of office and the Constitution.

Social Forum activists to protest U.S.-Mexico border fence

I have an idea to pay for the border fence.

Build it with watchtowers equipped with water cannons.

And then charge people for the opportunity to hose down the protestors who come to complain about the fence.

This could be the first time the government has run a profit on an endeavor since the first Gulf War.
