How dare you use logic when payoffs are off the chart! Mexican slavelabor is the only thing that saved us from a 2000% uncrease in a head lettuce from 10 years ago. Oh, wait.... that already happened.......
Sorry. Nevermind. :-)
uncrease""" um,,, should be: Increase. :-)
If you had a 2000% uncrease or increase, how much were you paying 10 years ago?
oh man,,,can't I even exaggerate a little? :-)
Actually lettuce was $0.29 a head 10 years ago. Now it's floppin' around between 1 and 2 bucks.
So, you would not mind it being $5-$6 per head?
Hey, if you're going crazy, why not $30 or $40 a head?
Can't I even exaggerate a little? :-)
You can, but you were just outdone. :-)
Here is a more recent report to base your answer on:

You are right I live in fear of the $1000 head of lettuce, I'm sorry I spoke up. Our great high tech economy would die off if we did not have stoop labor.
Lettuce does not need to get to $1000 per head for our economy to be in trouble - did you see my question above re: $4-$5 per head?
I wasn't responding to you, I made a sarcastic post to Joe.
Oh, O.K., then allow me to ask you directly: would it be just fine with you to see lettuce at $5 per haed?
What would a head of lettuce cost that's picked by a minimum wage earning American? Or a machine?
And can a collective of individual consumers compete with the "must have at any price" national restaurant & fast food chains for the same product?
I don't know - now can you answer my question?
Actually, I don't think I can.
O.K., would you not mind lettuce being $30 or $40 a head?
You're redundant. Go play with someone else.</p>
What does < / p > mean?
