Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Sen. John Thune, R-S.D.; Rep. Mike Pence, R-Ind.; Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean; former Commerce Secretary Don Evans.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, R-Tenn.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): President Bush.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Sens. Barack Obama, D-Ill., and Chuck Hagel, R-Neb.; Dominique Dawes, Olympic gymnast.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : White House counselor Dan Bartlett; Sens. Joseph Biden, D-Del., and Pat Roberts, R-Kan.; former President Carter; former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.
Excellent point.
C-span really good this morning. If you missed it, I hope you get to see the replay of Chris Shays and Steven Moore taking calls from Republicans. GREAT calls, and good responses. Moore, the conservative editor of the Wall Street Journal Editorial Page was very impressive, and Shays gave honest (if maddening) replies critical to Bush. All in all, very intelligent calls and responses.
Now there will be Democrat calls for Katrina Vanderhoof, editor of the far left fringe NATION magazine. Vanden Heuvel, I think is the correct spelling of this hag's name. She's soooooooooooooooooooooo angry, full of hatred, always fun to watch
The other democrat on with her, I'm not familiar with Ed Kilgore, Democratic Leadership Council, VP for Policy. Evidently Kilgore is on to represent the voice of Democratic reason.
Sooooo many quotable. Just a few ...
"I hate the Republicans and everything they stand for..." -- Howard Dean
"My view of Christianity . is that the hallmark of being a Christian is to reach out to people who have been left behind. So I think there was a religious aspect to my decision to support civil unions."
"I still want to be the candidate for guys with Confederate flags in their pickup trucks." --
"We're going to tell all those white boys who run the Republican Party to stay out of our bedrooms." --
"You think the Republican National Committee could get this many people of color in a single room? Only if they had the hotel staff in here." --
"Dealing with race is about educating white folks..."
As info: Kos has a solid 13 names that will vote for Phil A. Buster with 2 undecided who had previously been listed in the "No on cloture" field.
1 Barbara Boxer (D- CA)
2 Dianne Feinstein (D- CA)
3 Christopher J. Dodd (D- CT)
4 Richard J. Durbin (D- IL)
5 John F. Kerry (D- MA)
6 Edward M. Kennedy (D- MA)
7 Paul S. Sarbanes (D- MD)
8 Debbie A. Stabenow (D- MI)
9 Harry Reid (D- NV)
10 Hillary Rodham Clinton (D- NY)
11 Charles Schumer (D- NY)
12 Ron Wyden (D- OR)
13 Russell D. Feingold (D- WI)
14 Barack Obama (D-IL) undecided
(?) (see update)
15 Robert Menendez (D-NJ) undecided
Does anyone besides me think the futility of this exercise will be realized just before the cloture vote and the "debate" will be ended by UC and the vote for confirmation taken as scheduled Tuesday?
....and yeah I know, shower time. Gotta hit the treadmill first though.
Great idea. I have a list of a few dozen if G.W. would like it.
Dean still refuses to appear jointly with RNC chair Ed Rendell.but why isn't Ed on after to refute the garbage
Climate change is the perfect subject for moonbats and pandering politicians...you cannot prove it (doesn't matter to them that you can't), but it is also impossible to disprove.
The one saving grace is that compliance with the Kyoto Protocol is so expensive it would mean shrinking our economy to do it. The ones that have signed on to it have quickly realized it is impossible, and for that reason, it is of little consequence in the future to us or anyone else.
Chris Shays was on with Stephen Moore of the Wall Street Journal.
Dean: I think we need to appeal to white southern voters if we are going to have any success in the south. I think the way to do it is to appeal to things we have in common such as the need for jobs and education.
Dean: I want to "be the candidate for guys with Confederate flags in their pickup trucks."
Yes, and just like other issues, this one will gain legs as more Freepers keep reminding everyone about it.
When Dianne Feinstein fears for Chimpy Sheahan's threats and acting accordingly, it shows that democrats are in deep trouble.
"In the Democratic party we won't forget that," Dean said.
Yes you do to Howie. Being you brother's keeper does NOT mean keeping him perpetually bound to a politically corrupt welfare state for eternity in exchange for his votes. It does NOT mean robbing other people via taxation and giving "your brother" other people's money. Being your brother's keeper means YOU personally taking care of him, NOT demanding other people's money being taken to do the care FOR you.
So it seems Democrat Party Theology is as stupid as their politics
Ed Rendel? ROFLOL Ken Mehlman perhaps?
Bush mentions Ed Rendell twice & you start to think of him as RNC chair when he is former dem.chair.
What could be better than to have positioned two enemies to fight amongst each other?

I am looking forward to some solid casualty numbers from this infighting in "Palestine."
