Taking a line from Genesis, the first book of the Bible, Dean explained the first question ever asked by anyone was, "Am I my brother's keeper?"

What a Biblical scholar Dean is. I thought "Adam, where are you?" was an actual question.

The media has long had an agenda to diminish America's standing in the world.

If you read history you will see that the media was always the problem. If I am not mistaken, Abraham Lincoln actually jailed some journalists during the Civil War.

To: Alas Babylon!; All
Morning AB and thanks again for the thread.

One of the biggest stories of the week that you most likely won't find on the msm/antique/media today is the courage of one brave man, sixty five year old #2 official in Saddam Hussein's air force Gen. Georges Sada.
Thursday Sada's story was broken wide open by a story in the New York Sun written by Ira Stoll and found here:
http://www.nysun.com/article/26514
Stoll told of Sada's new book "Saddam's Secrets" which was released last week and Sada made the rounds on many talk shows.
One of the first quotes Sada makes in the story by Stoll is;
"There are weapons of mass destruction gone out from Iraq to Syria, and they must be found and returned to safe hands," in other words the biggest problem that the dems have had with the war in Iraq "no wmd's" has now been disproven and is neatly documented in this brave mans book.
Sada goes on to state that "the pilots of the two airliners that transported the weapons of mass destruction to Syria from Iraq approached him in the middle of 2004, after Saddam was captured by American troops and basically told him that a 727 and 747 airplanes with seats removed were used to make 56 flights into Damascus to remove huge quantities of wmd's from Iraq into Syria.
In addition Sada alson said that other wmd's were also removed by tractor trailer something we have surmised and told about here on FR for some time.

Sada made a Thursday appearance on Hannity where he documented the same and then again of Fox and Friends Friday.
Yesterday Monica Crowley doing a three hour show on WABC in New York led off her show by stating that she would interview Sada. Immediately I e-mailed her (along with others I surmise) and asked that she do a long in-depth interview with Sada so as to document the facts since this story will and has been told by us, the "New Media". The msm/rat media will run and hide or wildly spin this stroy when they do get around to it.
She did over an hour and at the end of the show said it was one of her all time best interviews and it was.
Of course here at FR there have been many references to Sadas book and his story here are just a few

Oh yeah the other part of the story is that this brave Gen. also was responsible for talking Saddam out of making a wmd strike on Israel several years ago. He stood up to Saddam and won and is still doing it. I for one salute Gen. Sada and all those who want freedom for Iraq.
and I am proud that finally our President will be vindicated re the wmd's which really were in Iraq.

Another part of Dean's strategy to win voters is to convince Evangelical Christians, who have become the steadfast voters for the Republican party, that they are voting for a party of "selfishness."

Thanks AB for the thread.

Is anyone else watching Chris Shays rip apart the Republican party on C-Span. The topic is the future of the Republican party. He is ripping apart Republican's for corruption...never liked Delay...too closed minded on stem cell research and life... he doesn't see why Republican's don't think McCain is conservative, and America isn't Red or Blue...but it's Purple. Such wishy washy dribble...

But elevating Clinton to life is Bush's fault

I am sorry but that is not reasonable. Bush has never talked to Jimma Carter and HE gets just as much press time. An ex President gets media attention. The WH ignoring him has done NOTHING to diminish Carter. It would do nothing to reign in Clinton. All Bush has done is made a throw away gesture at "bi partisanship" by getting Clinton involved where he can do as little damage and might possibly do some good. Bill Clinton can pry money out of people who would slam the door in a Bush's face.

Basically, I agree, though McCainiac is starting to sound more like a mix of Bubba and Gore, with maybe a dash of Kerry thrown in. He's started his run for the '08 nomination (perhaps he's never quit running), and, IMHO is getting quite out of hand in his statements. He may think he's going to be the '08 Republican nomination, but, based on many posts I've read on FR re feelings for him, I don't think he has a chance (hopefully not).

Australia is one of our best allies and he's helping us, how: "His comments support anxiety within Australia's foreign policy circles and throughout the Pacific that the US is ignoring the region."

Since when did Pres Bush ask Johnny to speak for his Administration?

US neglects region for Iraq: McCain
Geoff Elliott, Washington correspondent
28jan06

GEORGE Bush is neglecting the Asia-Pacific region as his administration is drawn into the deteriorating war in Iraq, says the senior Republican senator tipped to become the next president of the US.

John McCain, who has become one of the hottest tips for the presidential ticket in 2008, said the US had dropped the ball in the region, citing recent decisions by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to cancel visits to Australia, Indonesia and Malaysia.
His comments support anxiety within Australia's foreign policy circles and throughout the Pacific that the US is ignoring the region.

Australia is still waiting for a new US ambassador, almost a year after Tom Schieffer was appointed ambassador to Japan.

It is understood the US State Department has been forced to resume its search for a new ambassador from scratch, as the short list of three people preferred by the President and his political staff has been abandoned.

In an interview with The Weekend Australian, Senator McCain also criticised the US and Australian governments for their stance on greenhouse gases, including the new six-country pact on developing cleaner energy technologies

Yes, I believe the first question he is claiming was actually a question asked to God by Cain when God asked him"Where is your brother Abel??"

It figures they even question God.

Excellent points. I wonder why the administration never talk these in detail to the public and expose those who say there were never any WMD in Iraq.
