I read somewhere a delicious summary of what this NSA flap is all about.

Roughly:

This NSA issue is about whether the Democrats can take AWAY those rights from Bush that other Presidents had. This is what they really want to do.

========

I'd have to agree. Why do they want us to LOSE this war?

Good comments Johnnie use your enemies wisely and to your best advantage. Also the administration knows that Clinton is still very popular worldwide so this they can use to America's advantage where he can get access where they cannot. The only downside is that when opportunity arises he takes a swipe at the right.

Morning snugs.

The Democrats treat scripture like they do the US Constitution. Change what they don't like to what they what it to say.

Moderate wing? What Moderate wing?

I consider the moderate wing those voters who are registered Democrats who are not swayed by the moonbats, always look at the candidates and issues, and weigh their options.

They then vote their conscious. Registered Republicans do the same, though they are more attuned to their conservative agenda.

"I found it instructive to know so many of my fellow republicans are most distressed, (or so it seemed from the number of calls), over Bush's big spending."

^^^^

And yet, one of the CSPAN callers to the Republicans was whining because her electric, heating and health insurance bills were going up. Does she think a) she is alone, and b) that Congress can (or should) change the situation?

"Wallace just showed information that Democrats received more than $1 million from Abramoff. Dean is saying no Democrat knew it."

Once again, Democrats claim ignorance. They can't remember, don't recall jack. They claim if they didn't intend to do something, it shouldn't be held against them, and now Howard Dean will go on television and claim democrats didn't know the money they got from Indian tribes, represented by Abrahmoff, was dirty money. It's unbelievable, tortured logic. People won't buy it.

(Frist)

He certainly is a far cry from what he seemed to be at first.
He seemed to be more on top of his game when he first came onto the scene, the buzz was awesome, and he seemed to be the real deal. I think he works hard, but he's a normal guy and expectations worked against him.

-You make some good points about his manner of accounting for himself. He's turned into a politician I think.

Obama was dead against it because he said "it would not be worth it because there are not enough votes. Apparently something changed his mind - either they are getting close to enough votes or DUers and KOS threatened him which they have been doing to all Democrat Senators. Talk about terror tactics!

I would suspect without concrete proof they dare not after the CIA photos and the statements by Powell pre Iraq war etc.

They cannot afford either at home or internationally to be torn to pieces again on this issue. Best to keep quiet and if subsequently enough evidence surfaces they will be vindicated whether in their lifetime is another thing. I however feel that this is again another point that annoys many about GWB I believe he does not really care that much about his legacy just as long as he has done the right thing according to his ethics and morals.

Why do they want us to LOSE this war?

@@@@@

Because being in power is more important than living in a safe prosperous country. Just consider what Democrat rule has done to many American cities.

People won't buy it.

Believe it. I must snort. I must guffaw.

Can you imagine a politician claiming they didn't know the money was directed by Abramoff.

There is no way even the dumbest American will ever believe that. Surely, surely, surely....they must know this?

Yea - I guess so. I'm not too worried if Frist has the guts to invoke the nuclear option. If he doesn't like last time we are in trouble.
