Moscow Moved Weapons to Syria and Lebanon

According to a former top Bush administration official, Russian special forces teams moved weapons of mass destruction out of Iraq to Syria.

"I am absolutely sure that Russian Spetsnatz units moved WMD out of Iraq before the war," stated John Shaw, the former deputy undersecretary for international technology security. According to Shaw, Russian units hid Saddam's arsenal inside Syria and in Lebanon's Bekka valley.

"While in Iraq I uncovered detailed information that Spetsnatz units shredded records and moved all WMD and specified advanced munitions out of Iraq to Syria and Lebanon," stated Shaw during an exclusive interview.

Real proof will come in the form of a chem barrage from Bekka when the Israelis hit the Iranian nuke sites.

According to a former top Bush administration official

That "top" official was fired by DoD for corruption and his "evidence" was his opinion. This is an old story that "blew" up right in Oct as part of the democrat's October surprise, which died about as quickly in 2004.

Ion Pacepa-- Soviet Romanian mass murderer who switched sides when he saw the fall coming and has become the neocon(artists) favorite hero. The man butchered and oppressed his people in the worst dictatorship since Stalin's. The man should have been put up against the wall with Cecesque, his former master.

Iran has had chemicals for a long time and actively used them on Iraqi civilians during the Iraq-Iran war.

Does intelligence fail? Or is it that partisanship is so bitter that protecting America is put on a back burner?

Well well. Finally the shoe has dropped. What has been known at least a year ago by us on the Free Republic is finally coming to the surface. First Georges Sada and now John Shaw.

Now we can use that shoe to thump the left for what they have done to damage the reputation of this country. When the weapons were not found after we invaded Iraq they used it to beat President Bush, our brave sons and daughters fighting for the legacy of freedom, and the courageous people of Iraq. Their charges that "Bush lied and people died" now rings hollow. They have beat a continuous drum making sure that America was to be scorned for their "lies." They have sown an evil sickness to demoralize our military effort using as their justification that no WMDs were found. Their propaganda machine never let it be considered that there were no weapons because they were moved to another country. They never stopped even when a small story appeared in the British press describing the Russian special forces using a caravan of trucks to move out WMDs. Anything contrary to the script was ignored.

We at the Free Republic and other patriotic sites knew different.

The drum beat continued, on and on and on. The left never even tried to connect the dots. The only one they trusted was Scott Ritter, a man who betrayed his country. They were one with the likes of Osama Bin Laden, Yassin, the Intifada, Hamas, and Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

And the American Press has betrayed this country. No longer are they a champion of freedom like they were in generations past. Now they are propaganda organs for the Socialist Communist Democratic Party. A fine accomplishment after generations of news reporting have toiled with blood and sweat to bring the privilege they enjoy now. Not once did they question why the weapons are missing and where did they go. All they did was beat the drum while they dropped the torch of freedom that is their legacy to pass on to future generations.

Patience, patience. The Syrian V-P, Abdul Khalil Khaddam, who defected to France and is setting up a government in exile could soon be giving exact locations to the "public" - if the French share them.

Exact locations that have been detailed in intel circles for a long time but never publicly confirmed - as will hopefully become the case.

Why can't we alienate or destabilize Russia?
They've continued to crap on the U.S. all along and tried to bully their neighbors, so why can't we?

there was probably a heck of a lot to move in a short period of time...

"A lot" is open to question. Saddam was playing hide and seek with the inspectors for years. Any capability he had would have been designed from the start to be small, concealable, transportable and, in an emergency, disposable. The supporting organization would have been structured for concealment, removal, and disposal operations on short notice. That would mean they kept the stuff pretty much packed and ready to go and only broke it out when they were actively working with it. A practiced team could probably move a small scale chemical or biological unit faster than I could clean out my basement.

No, Shaw is not the original source of the rumor, and that is exactly what it is. See posts 42, 46, and 47.

It's amazing. The left and it's MSN house organ claim that despite the evidence, there was never any WMD. But we should know better. These are the same fictionalist who refused to defy the evidence concerning the 42nd POTUS and his wife selling top secret, weapon-enabling technology to our enemies.

Regarding the WMD and Russia alleging moving it. The whole thing doesn't make sense for a variety of reasons. Most of all, the claim that the Russians would pack up the WMD and ship it off to Syria is illogical. Why would the Russians not just ship it back to Mother Russia? Why would they risk putting it in the hands of Islamists who might sell the WMD to Islamists battling Russia? Do I think the WMD was spirited out of Iraq - yes. Do I think the Russians did it? I wouldn't rule anything out completely, but I don't buy the "took it to Syria" nonsense.

If you ask me, the Russians were there destroying evidence of their own complicity in Oil for Food, etc., and not helping Saddam with the WMD transfer. I have no proof, of course, but just a hunch.

Destabilize or Alienate Russia? To what end? How would that make us more secure? There are a LOT of nasty nasty players in that region of the world who would LOVE for Russia to become destabilized and these nasty folks are not too damn friendly to us.

Oh not again same bull:))..

He don't even know what is it Speznaz. Speznaz is special operation forces means commandos. They destroy a lot. Like to blow up bridges or ammunision depots. They do not move nothing. Simply don't have means for it.

"Iran has had chemicals for a long time and actively used them on Iraqi civilians during the Iraq-Iran war."

Don't you mean the reverse - Iraq used them on Iranians
