Fox Employees Sue Over "Toxic" Studio Airs (Fox News)

Two Fox News employees have filed a lawsuit claiming they were sickened by air contaminated with toxic molds and pesticides while working in the building where "The O'Reilly Factor" and "At Large with Geraldo Rivera" are produced.

Laurette DeRosairo and Madronicia Clarke, both Fox employees for about nine years, say in court papers that the molds and the "inappropriate" use of cleaning agents and pesticides has caused them headaches, dizziness, weakness, anxiety and blurred vision.

DeRosairo, a control booth graphics technician, and Clarke, a makeup artist, said they were made ill while working within the broadcasting complex that produces shows that also include "Hannity and Colmes" and "Dayside."

The chemicals caused DeRosairo to develop acute asthma, a sensitivity to scents that causes her throat to constrict, and other respiratory problems, the suit said. It claimed that Clark suffers chronic fatigue, autoimmune diseases and other health problems.

I'm with you, Revel.
I have high sensitivity to molds, and certain chemicals commonly used in the workplace. Continued exposure led to more intense symptoms, including sensitivity to scents. You know there's a problem when you're sick at work and get better out of the building. I no longer work there, and am fine unless hubby uses Pine-Sol to clean the kitchen floor or sprays for spiders. He pretends he didn't use the chemicals. I can tell walking down the driveway.

Some people are extra sensitive to enviornmental abnormalities. I feel sorry for anyone in this condition to have to even live in the modern world. I can't help but to wonder if sometimes it is not born out of sheer fear of pesticides and odors. Some people are irrationally fearful of dying or getting cancer. They tell themselves if they can avoid exposure to this and that, they will never die.

I think some anti-fox folks got a job and are trying to make an issue

Yeah, I agree. I would not be surprised if they are also anti Wal-Mart people.

It is all a scam. Only global warming can cause those symptoms. :-)

Not me. I was always in the "it ain't going to hurt ya crowd". Then I started geting sick from the fumes after a few years of exposure. Perfumes used to just make my nose start running. Now they make me sick in many ways.

Do you get allergy shots for your reaction to perfume? I am sorry you suffer in that way.
