Riyadh - Saudi authorities have culled 37 falcons following the discovery of five positve cases of the H5 virus of the avian flu on Saturday.
According to a spokesperson for the Saudi agricultal ministry, a ministry team inspecting falcons kept in a veterinary centre in Riyadh, which cares for birds usually used for hunting, discovered the cases.
The ministry said 37 falcons, including the five cases "were killed and burned".
He added laboratory tests were being conducted to establish if the cases also test oositive for the N virus - "the other component of the (bird flu) virus".
In November, Saudi Arabia banned all bird imports from neighbouring countries amid heightened regional concerns about bird flu.
The decision came a day after Kuwait announced the discovery of a bird carrying the deadly H5N1 strain.
Its obviously the fault of the jews.
What's the point? Nobody informed migratory birds about the ban.
It will suck to be a raghead. I personally do not believe that this whole thing is that bad, yet we might want to prohibit people from these areas from traveling to the US. If you live with poultry in your house, the risk increases. The same was true with the "swine flu" pandemic. It did not happen in America.
Impossible, it is not Allah's will
I must have been some dirty Jews that gave the birds the disease to kill simple Arab people.
or it's Bush's fault
Mybe 'allah' can help 'em out with that.
New Jersey wasn't part of America back in 1976?
Oh, sorry I forgot about that. I still have two lime green leisure suits, and several platform shoes that I liberated off of the cadavers that littered the streets. This is much ado about nothing. Thousands of people die from influenza and pneumonia every year.
Yes I brought up swine flu. It was not an American pandemic. People lived very differently in 1918. We do not have poultry in our homes. The Fort Dix incident may be explained by the use of semi-live vaccine. I do not fault the military for that, as there was an acceptable adverse reaction ratio.
Where was the 1976 swine flu a pandemic?

That must explain why nobody in the US gets the seasonal flu anymore, right?
I will refer you to post #8. Many people get seasonal flu, and die from complications such as pneumonia. The swine flu scare was exactly that. Heck, even John Kerry tried to make hay out of the flu recently. My contention is this: Asia and the middle east are attempting to extort financial gain. Using the World Health Organization. Even 2,000 deaths in Asia is not considered pandemic. 80 deaths over two years. Malaria, dysentery, and viral pneumonia kill millions.
Since people in the US get the seasonal flu in huge numbers each year, how is the fact that most don't maintain close contact with poultry going to protect them if H5N1 learns efficient H2H spread?
I suggest that you quit harping about the swine flu and learn about what happened in 1918.
P.S. I'll ask you again. Where was the 1976 swine flu a pandemic? Please provide a breakdown of cases/fatalities by country. Thanks. (And for extra credit, make the table convincingly support your suggestion that America was safer from the swine flu than other countries.)
