Louisiana native and political consultant for the Democratic Party James Carville talked Friday about the image of Gov. Kathleen Blanco and her performances both during and after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
Carville said there are always things people can do better, but he thinks Blanco did as well as she could, considering the circumstances.
"Once you're under water, you're kind of doomed," Carville said. "A flood is a hard thing to look good in."
Carville was in Baton Rouge to attend a reception in which a new Democratic Party chairman will be elected.

I would have expected better from Carville...his obvious spinning is laughable.

"Once you're under water, you're kind of doomed," Carville said. Mary Jo found that out the hard way, Car-vile.

I would have expected better from Carville...his obvious spinning is laughable.Well, after they got spanked over Alito, the Dem line of attack du jour against Bush is about Katrina. So they will try to rehabilitate Blanco so they can blame Bush.
But the biggest problem with that is ... Blanco.

Had she governed perhaps not so many people may have been in that flood.

I am sure James is giving the Federal Govt the same consideration....

What's with the title? In the story, is said that Carville said she did as well as she could, not did well.

Carville the Sleaze would. Not surprising. I'm still wandering why the general public still isn't upset over his defamation of people living in trailers.

A few days ago Blanco was in Holland looking at their dykes, wonder if she found one she liked?

If she does find one, maybe she'll contract a disease.

I think she has Mad Cow disease.

Here is a picture of James as a kid.

The Snakehead is 100% correct. Gov Blanko did a wonderful job...
... of proving, once again, the accuracy of the Peter Principle. Ray Wonka gets an "E" for effort, too.

Fittingly enough, Carville's family are the Carvilles of Carville, Louisiana, the State Leper Colony. Their particular little piece of the LA Graft Pie was the Carville Leprosarium.
James is very adept at working with difficult cases, and nothing can shock him. NOLA is like this disease itself. It can't really be cured, just stopped after the damage is done.
