One aspect of the fallout from the Alito nomination will be the obvious fact that the Democrats are voting only for their political advantage. There is no "principal" involved. Qualifications don't matter. Right and wrong are not relevant. This is a matter of pure political expediency.

You really do have to laugh at liberals. They spend thousands of dollars to fly to a ski resort in the alps, pay $25,000 a ticket to attend a conference on world poverty. The money they spent on this could have irradicated poverty in a small African country.
