Moscow, January 27, Interfax - The number of Russian who condemn anti-semitism has increased by almost 10% for the last year.
According to the Obschestvennoye Mnenie (Public Opinion) Foundation data published on Friday, its poll concerning the recent attack on the Moscow synagogue has shown that the proportion of Russians who have negative attitude to anti-Semites has increased from 34 to 42%, while the proportion of those who claim to be indifferent to them has decreased from 47 to 38%.
The distrust and dislike of the Jews, according to the poll, was stated by 7% of the respondents, while only 5% sympathize with those who show this dislike.

Hmmm...I do believe that the remergence of Christianity in Russia is encouraging this change. Because there are similarities in religious persecution experiences and the possibility that if and when one is persecuted, so is the liklihood of the other.
The rising tide of tolerance is a very good thing.
THe Orhtodox Church came out strong against the attacks as well.
One of the leading Russian theologians (name escapes me) is Jewish by nationality. A lot of the Jews are actually Orthodox Christians now.
Praise God.
