Despite persistent disillusionment with the war in Iraq, a majority of Americans supports taking military action against Iran if that country continues to produce material that can be used to develop nuclear weapons, a Los Angeles Times/Bloomberg poll has found.

Now if everyone would just connect the dots and get their heads out of their proverbial a$$'s we might stand a chance.

After we invade Iran the number will drop to 36%.

Some people don't have any convictions.

57%?

Do the People realize what happens if a Islamo crazy a$$ed republic gets nuclear weapons? They WILL fire them. At Israel, they will fire them at Europe, at the United States, if they can. These people are nuts, and they don't deserve that kind of power, they live in the 16th century. They want to destroy a world that is in the 21st Century. Right or wrong, man has come this far and their values are out of line.

Take them out, and do it now.

indeed. 57% of the people support it because they think it will be over in 72 hours. when they find out we'll need 400K troops in iraq/iran, and when a few silkworm missiles hit some oil tankers and gas is $6 a gallon, it will drop to 25%.

...and the other 33% are interned at Forest Lawn and other similar locations between the coasts.

THis makes no ass sense.

So we launch strikes and the number shoots down to 10%.

Polls are meaningless drivel.

Youre overconfidence in their ability to actually MAINTAIN that kind of weaponry is a bit optimistic. Remember Iraq and their super-prowess-intellect in that field?

The left crowd says " No blood for oil", for iraq,
I bet their slogan for Iran will be " No blood for nuclear power plants" in Iran. What a bunch of DUmmies the sheep democrats are.

After we invade Iran the number will drop to 36%.

Or less. It didn't take long for the post 911 kick ass attitude to be feminized into the "impeach Bush movement cuz he's actually protecting us" movement.

I firmly believe it's going to take a few more 911s and maybe actually a nuke to convince the world to shake off their fat, sassy, I'm comfortable, FU don't bother me apathy.

In my opine, that is who we should have attacked 25 years ago when they stormed the U.S. Embassy but pussy ass Jimmah Carter did not do that.

The old slogan goes he who hesitates is lost. Should Iran build and deploy tactical nukes even if its a handful the civilized world is at peril. The obvious move is to deal with it sooner than later. Iran is next on the plater for regime change I suspect. The 5000 Iranian MEK captured in Iraq during the war will be instrumental in the upcoming revolt against those who push this backwards religion on population.

A lot of Iranians come from educated backgrounds and are forced to tow the line. Iran is ripe for rebellion. Iran has a bigger population than Iraq and one wonders why the US Government want to pull troops out as soon as possible. This time it is really about weapons of mass destruction. I am not American but God Speed to the US troops and allies who have and will be dealing with this....

we can play for time - alot could happen. they could collapse from within for example, they could do something really stupid which would trip the nuclear trip wire - and give us provocation to use nukes on them, in which case the war is over in 20 minutes.

suffice to say - if we launch a conventional strike on them now, we had better be prepared for alot of consequences. the american people are not prepared for that.

And isn't handy to be able to base our effort in Iraq. Funny how these things work out.

if we launch a strike against iran now, iraq will get 10 times worse then it is right now - right at the moment when iraq is turning for the better in a big way. iran will filter forces into the insurgency in a big way, and some elements of the iraqi Shia will go nuts if the US attacks iran.

we'd need 400-500K troops in the theater to contain it all.
