"democracy" and "freedom" are dim code words for abortion
and abortion on demand.

I would like to paraphrase the last sentence.
The difference between liberals and Christians are those that hold allegiance to either the Bible or the budget.

perfect example of the DUmmies' party implosion..these people are so out of touch with mainstream that they think that they ARE mainstream. pathetic really when BJ Clinton is able to nail it (pun intended) The scary thing is, if Gore and Kerry were smart enough not to offend the people of faith, they could have won the election. Hillary will be smarter and will pander to people of faith. Fortunately Hillary has much higher negatives and will have a harder time convincing people.

Nancy Pelosi, raised a good Catholic girl, would no longer recognize faith if it bit her on her reconstructed arse!

When will these moonbats learn that "democracy" means ideas duke it out in the free marketplace, we vote and the loser
loses. Their can of beans has been voted worst, and is in the dustbin of history along with Communism. People don't
want Liberalism to such an extent that they have now got to lie and call them "Progressive Brand Beans" just to get people to take another taste!
It takes be back to my old Dungeons and Dragons gaming days, fighting Trolls, a creature that in gaming heals itself and fights on. Liberals are literally like Trolls...you kill their ideas, and the next round the monster rises up out of the ground and says, "Oh yeah? Well, uh...you know...BUSH LIED!"

To: CheyennePress

Ask anyone leaving church on Sunday what public policy issues motivate people of faith and the likely answer will be such things as abortion, same-sex marriage, assisted suicide, drugs, illegitimacy, etc. Ask Nancy Pelosi and she says the federal budget." That's because to Nancy Pelosi she and other Democratic "leaders" are the true deities.
They and all they say and do is what should be worshiped.

best way
for us to speak to people of faith is in terms of the work we do; With whose money, lady?
in terms of the budget, for example. The budget is a document thats supposed to be a statement of our national values.
It is? Since when?
She's a total socialist.

Most social liberals like Pelosi argue that the budget should be used to redistribute wealth to help the less fortunate as Jesus would have. People of faith may understand this a bit better if the wealth she wanted to redistribute was her own. Liberals in general have a disdain for people of faith.

Whenever someone refers to him or herself as a "devout" Catholic or Christian, dollars to donuts the person is anything but devout. Truly devout people do not go around proclaiming their devoutness.

Too many leftists use faith as a way to defend themselves and then turn around and use it as a way to be attacking others.
They say that their agenda is an issue of faith and that that is how they show their good works. Where is the merit in doing good if you are forced to do good and you have no choice? If the government takes my money in taxes and gives it away I had no choice, so I have not done anything good by being forced to do 'good.' You only do good when you have made a choice to do good. When I choose to give money to charity, then I do good. Not when the government does it for me.
That is real choice. Otherways cannot be virtueous.
I am reminded of when Clinton said that people should not get their taxes back because they might not spend it right. He thinks he knows so much better than we do how to use our own money.
Our faith in our own ways is so much less than if we had faith in THEM to make our decisions for us.
Leftists want the only faith to be in the state and Church and family stand in the way of that. So the left wage a war on church and family and personal initiative any anything that would make the state not the most important thing.

...said that the "best way...for us to speak to people of faith is in terms of the work we do; in terms of the budget, for example. The budget is a document that's supposed to be a statement of our national values." ...Catholic League president Bill Donohue saw this is illuminating: "Ask anyone leaving church on Sunday what public policy issues motivate 'people of faith' and the likely answer will be such things as abortion, same-sex marriage, assisted suicide, drugs, illegitimacy, etc. Ask Nancy Pelosi and she says the federal budget... likes to call those who are pro-life 'anti-choice.' ...When her party lost the 2004 presidential election, she arrogantly said, 'As a devout Catholic, I observe with great regret the intervention of some Catholic bishops who joined evangelical leaders in the political arena.' In other words, all these religious leaders not only fail to meet her qualifications as 'the people of faith' (as she likes to call them), they are a threat to democracy."
