a phase-out of the state worker pension system

Nothing wrong with this idea except, considering this is government we're talking about, it's at least 20 years ahead of its time.

they will never touch the state pension system. McGreevey hired thousands of new workers during his term.

let Corzine run amuck - gas taxes, taxes on clothing - the more he does, the better chance Kean Jr has at knocking Menendez off.

I agree.... there's only one problem. Because the idea makes sense, because this is New Jersey, and because it was proposed by a Dem governor in a union-heavy state, it will never see the light of day.   (>>sigh<<)
