Before we get carried away about Russert or Couric, consider this. They both are liberals who want the DEMs to win in both 2006 and 2008. To accomplish this they have both come to the same conclusion. That is the Deanster must go. He is an embarrassment to the DEMs and they know it. There is no way, regardless of Congressional Scandals and GWB's poor polling numbers, the American people will transfer power at the national level over to the DEMs as long as he is in the DNC Chair. Russert is smart. Couric may be a schmuck but she ain't stupid either.
