A-kaka is so full of himself.

If he objects to Alito's qualifications and fears for his behavior on the court, he should be prepared to act. A-kaka did swear an oath to defend the Constitution. He should be doing whatever he can to prevent Alito's confirmation.

He will. He will vote against Alito.

Filibustering Supreme Court nominees is just a 'not done' thing; except when you are a rabid liberal trying to "Bork" a nominee. Alito deserves an up or down vote, and in their honest moments, Democrats know this.

Whether he is doing it for political cover or not,
Let's not fault Akaka for not following the extremist Democrats down this wrong path.
