We invite you to gather with us in prayer for the Defense of Marriage at the Hughes Justice Complex From 9:30 a.m. until Noon in Trenton, NJ Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006
|
This is a call to all N.J. Christians to unite in prayer in Trenton in support of the biblical definition of marriage as the sacred union between one man and one woman. |
· On this date the New Jersey Supreme Court is set to hear oral arguments in the Lewis v. Harris Lawsuit seeking to grant same-sex marriage. The prayer time will be conducted in a spirit of love. Our purpose is to petition God for the future of our state and the sanctity of marriage. We are praying that the Supreme Court upholds the God-ordained sacred institution of marriage as one man and one woman only.
· It is time for Gods people to rise up and be counted. We have been silent for far to long. NOW is the time to make a declaration with one voice as to the TRUTH as we know it, Marriage is sacred and God has ordained it only for one man and one women! Any other definition is unacceptable!!!

People in NJ defending traditional marriage -- my God, what is this world coming too!
Isn't the Supreme Court there still mostly a Christine Todd Whitman LIBERAL court?
What is the make-up of the NJ courts? >>

This is it.
Time for the ultimate showdown.
Since 2002, marriage has been on the line in New Jersey. Lambda Legal, the ACLU -- even a group of liberal clergy -- have banned together ... working their way through our court system to legalize homosexual marriage.
They literally want to redefine marriage to include same-sex couples.
But they have not marched forward alone. Your New Jersey Family Policy Council has been there every step of the way. Fighting for you. Declaring your values. Taking a stand for Gods sacred and holy plan for marriage -- between a man and a woman only.
Tomorrow, arguments in the infamous Lewis v. Harris case -- to legalize same-sex marriage -- will be heard at the Supreme Court of New Jersey.
We will be there, in the courtroom, for the duration. Listening intently ... monitoring the process ... informing concerned citizens -- like you -- and planning our follow-up action, if necessary.
Do not think for a minute that we are going to give up on this most important issue! Weve already poured thousands of hours of man-power and resources into this fight for traditional marriage in New Jersey.
Weve been in continuous contact with our Legal Resource Council, the Alliance Defense Fund and the Institute for Marriage and Public Policy. They helped us craft a powerful amicus brief on behalf of 360 clergy in New Jersey -- which was filed at the Supreme Court days ago.
Weve worked tirelessly to alert Gods people ... and to find those men and women of God who were willing to take a stand for righteousness ... to protect the family and marriage in New Jersey!
And more. Now, we will prayerfully wait to see what happens at the Supreme Court -- and we will respond. (Keep in mind, our Supreme Court is known as one of the most liberal in the land.)
Even as we continue to wage this important legal battle - that will most certainly affect marriage for generations to come in our state - we also continue our many other efforts for family, faith and religious freedom in New Jersey. And we need your help to stand strong!
Please give. Please pray. Critical, history-making days are ahead for you ... your NJFPC ... and your beloved state of New Jersey.
