From another post... The agreement that Frist and Reid entered into provides for skipping the cloture vote, if conditions indicate.

Assuming of course that Frist, the amiable patsy, gets final permission Dingy Harry Reid & the DimWits to call for a vote. Geez, does Frist have any controlling authority or say as the Senate Majority leader? What a pathetic wimp. He ought to have called for the vote tomorrow Friday at the latest. Any senators over at the boondoggle Davos summit would have to fly back or skip the vote as an indication of how really serious they are about this. C'mon Frist, grow a spine for once in your life!

We're going to get Alito on the USSC. What's the point in attacking Frist.

He's irrelevant.

Specter did a good job with the hearings and the candidate carried the day.
