Yeah but would you really want to take tha gamble? The rulers of the countries you mentioned are not suicidal zealots. Iran pioneered suicide terrorism.
Here's the problem. Invading Iran with a conventional army would be very bloody. It would be much bloodier than Vietnam. They have much better equipment, and could count on help from China, I think, not to mention the other jihadist nations. They also have a lot more people than Iraq, a much better organized army, and the terrain is not suitable for a ground invasion since it's very mountainous. In addition, they'd cut off the oil, which would send the price of oil thru the roof (as if it's not already too high).
We'd have to do a huge military build up, which hasn't even been started. We'd have to resurrect the draft. We'd get no support from our "allies" or from the Democrats.
You can't just bomb, because you need boots on the ground to make sure you got all the sites. Iran has literally dozens of nuke sites.
So a conventional invasion is just not workable. That leaves nuclear, but we're not going to do a pre-emptive nuclear strike. We might respond to a nuclear attack with a nuclear strike, but we aren't going to be the first to use nuclear.
For all its double dealing, I think france is behind us on this one. Paris is within range of the Shahab 3 (as is London) and unlike us and Israel, the EU does not even have a terminal missile defense system like the Patriot, much less a mid-phase intercept system like the one we have in Alaska.
.
Physics might say that the bomber didn't cross over those mountains in the background and be that level at that altitude. It looks impressive, but seems to be unrealistic.
I like the picture though.
You won't find me complaining... not all that organic.
Bomber flys in left to right, turns over lake.
However, the scenario is not contra indicated by physics or aerodynamics at all.
As a pilot, I can easily see how it could be done, but a hallmark of the B1B is an ability to fly low and slow.
It was designed to penetrate Russian defenses by doing exactly that.
Fine, it just looks improbable.
I happen to agree with you.
Good, I just looked at the picture again and the wings are back. It's flying fast.
An argument wasn't my intention either. I hear what you saying.
I look upon islam as a slightly different version of nazism. Many of the same elemnets are present in both. In fact they were allies in WWII. Just like the nazism, it needs to be stomped out. How it ever got elevated to a 'religion' is beyond me. We both agree it is not acceptable. But it does exist.
As long as islam does exist and is supported and sponsored by governments, we will need to address it. Unfortunately, I still hear a lack of honesty from many in this age of 'tolerance' in calling a spade a spade in this regard.
Have you seen this one Aliska?
