The poll found 60 percent of adults satisfied with the budget proposal, while 28 percent said they were dissatisfied. Among Republicans, 72 percent said they liked the proposal while 21 percent did not. Just more than half of Democrats _ 51 percent _ were satisfied with it, while 36 percent were not. A marked difference with RassmusseneReports which on Tuesday, using their polling results from the same time frame, reported:

Forty-four percent (44%) of voters favor the governor's budget proposal, just a few percentage points more than prefer him in either match-up. Although only 29% of likely voters oppose the proposal, 48% say it will lead to higher taxes. Support for the proposal cuts across traditional party lines. Among Republicans, two thirds of whom view the governor favorably, just 49% approve of the budget proposal and 37% disapprove.

That's a 16 point spread among adults and an even larger 23 point spread among Republicans.

Neither is within the accuracy range claimed by either survey.

I think questioner was a Conservative Lady and she was baffled by this answer.

Hope the "Satisfied" realize that we have no further needs to restrict spending, or even try.

People are in favor of spending, they just don't want to pay for it. There is no reward for a politician who tries to govern contrary to such desires.
