One more step until we Wisconsinites learn if we will be allowed to defend themselves and their loved ones away from home with concealed weapons. You know law breakers carry now anyway - time to level the playing field so law-abiding citizens have the tools they need to protect themselves with.

--congratulations--and good luck in the Assembly. Do you happen to know if it includes reciprocity?

Lets hope our Assembly grows a collective spine this time.

I'm sure it does but I'll have to look for the details later. I REALLY need to study for tests tomorrow ...eek!..

I'm kinda surprised that there's fear of the Assembly not over-riding Doyle's veto.
The GOP holds a 60-39 seat lead.
There must be some GOP members from the 'burbs who are getting cold feet.
To: tractorman
We really need to contact the two Assembly folks mentioned above and POLITELY ask them to support the override. The anti's are really putting on the pressure on a few of these people!
So please, if you're in Wisconsin, call or write these folks and explain to them they don't have to worry about law-abiding citizens with guns. We are or will be trained and very responsible, as are CCW citizens in the 38 shall-issue states.

Hurray! I'm e-mailing all of them with my thanks! That was CLOSE if we were only ONE vote away.
I may not want to tote around a handgun, but at least when this over-ride goes through I can legally replace my concealed "sock filled with pennies" with a tazer or brass knuckles or a billy club, LOL!
Let's all hope that The House gets this done! :)

What cold feet? They have to pick up at least 6 Democrats to get a two thirds majority. Otherwise the veto is sustained.
To: MplsSteve
No, it's more like the Democrats who have been supportive (and we *need* their votes to override!) who are being pressured by the Left to sustain the veto.

I called them both but only got their voice mails.
Ill call them back and leave a message this time.
To: Cheburashka
Whoa, I stand corrected. Bad math skills on my part.
Thank you for the clarification.

You know, they really don't expect hearing from women that want to be able to conceal carry. So it's GOT to influence them some if we would just call them and tell them we want the ability to defend ourselves.
