If it is Hillary vs McCain it will be Hillary vs McCain vs Tancredo.

The best thing about a Hillary nominatin will be to watch all the angst in DUmmieland. They are convinced that Karl Rove is plotting to make her the Democrat nominee.

Nice post, as always Mia.
America has grown weary of the Clintons, the Gores, the Kerrys, the Kennedys. The only support these people have are special interest groups, and there aren't enough of them to vote these people back into office. I look forward to 2008 almost more than I did 2000 and 2004.

This 51% tracks perfectly with the nine months of tracking on this question done by Rasmussen. He had it in the high 30s for a while then it started upward. The last numbers from December were in the low 40s. I believe the jump is a natural occurrence because the reality of a beast whitehouse is now a calendar year closer. The only down side is that it might cause her to not get the nomination. We want her to run so we can turn our efforts toward working on electing more down ballot people.

Chances are, those 51% are not going to change their minds about Hitlery. Once you can't stand a candidate, it's real hard to put a check next to their name on a ballot.

Milbank, Kornblutt & Matthews. Why didn't they have Mrs. Greenspan there for an even number of DNC butt-lickers? How can anyone in their right mind call Hardball intelligent, polical discussion?!

They can attempt to rationalize it but everyone knows who Hillary is. That's as real a number as they could get given her solid recognition.

They asked a similiar question and got 46%? definitely against Condi. About the same as those who always vote Dem. Sizeable, but remaining the minority. America doesn't know Condi very well, but the percentages speak volumes.

G.W.B. got 51% of the vote. Democrats got around 48% BUT with Fraud so I'm going to say 46% is probably very accurate of how many they really have in their camp absent illegals voting, prisons, voting, morgues voting.... The most they've gotten since Carter , who benefited from Watergate, 'Nam and Ford, was 49% with Bill.

Sure, Hillary will get more than 16% to vote for her. But these numbers seem to indicate she's not going to do better then any Democrat would. The only way she wins, then, is to split a three way race like with Perot. And that only happens if the GOP chooses a lousy candidate the base won't support.

She does not have the ability to convert "red state" voters. Any reasonably good candidate from the GOP can beat her. Scare mongers that are attempting to scare base GOP voters into voting for their guy, McCain, are doing so deceptively. The premise is a lie that only McCain or Rudy could beat Hillary, if Hillary is even their nominee. Infact, I'd go so far as to say McCain would ensure a Hillary win. She still wouldn't crack 50% of the vote, but the Rep turnout would be lower as people protest Mccain. I guarentee he won't get my vote. It's a MSM sponsered myth that a conservative, even one minus star power, cannot win.

If she can't win fairly, she'll need to prepare to win by dirty means. Hillary surely considers this good information because it allows her plenty of time to prepare.

Even more depressing for hillary, that poll was of generic Americans, not even registered likelys. It's probably stilted 5% more against her with that group.

<< MILBANK: Well, he can try to do it. But, look, he faces an awful uphill battle in winning over the typical Republican voter in a primary. Now, if the election was fought on national security, he is fine. But he's never going to convince them that he is one of them, that he is a religious conservative.

KORNBLUT: Right and not only that, but he's going to be in a death struggle with John McCain for the exact same constituency. >>

Absolute Certainty Number One: Although each has a better chance of being a factor in the 2008 election than does Mrs Rotten-Blythe, neither Mr Rudy "East-of-the-Hudson" Giuliani nor Mr John "Once-Flew-Over-the-Cukoo's-Nest -- and Came Back!" McCain will be the Republican Party's 2008 presidential candidate. Nor will either be his running mate.

Absolute Certainty Number Two: In 1990 57% of actual voters absolutely would not and actually did not vote for the front-man for [Codpiece of?] the crime family that, as the consequence of that year's presidential election and for the following eight awful years -- and despite that two hundred and twenty million of those of us then alive have NEVER voted for ANY Cli'ton -- besquatted and bemanured our once most-hallowed house and converted and effectively owned, operated, controlled, looted, subverted and sold-out the administrative branch of our government.

Might not our task then be to see to it - and despite that their organization's ever-accelerating death spiral has every one of them by-the-minute ever more flustered and morbidly-incoherent - that the "Democrats" themselves reject Mrs Cli'ton's candidacy?

And instead follow their own 2004 example and select another more electorally-viable candidate?

Blessings - Brian

BUMP
