Under a plan coordinated by city officials, community leaders and the Mexican consul-general in Dallas, the statues of at least eight Mexican heroes would be on permanent display at Winnetka Park in West Dallas, the recreational center where the statue of former Mexican President Benito Juarez is displayed.

Well, there is a statue of Poncho Villa in Arizona
(possibly erected in gratitude for his raiding of New Mexico), so why not a few in Dallas?

Famous Mexicans?? The only one I can think of is Pancho Villa, and he was a bandit.
Pancho Villa is in a Tucson park across the street from the county court house.
I didn't know that there were that many types of Mexican beans.
Hmm, and just how many American Presidents/Heroes are celebrated in statues in Mexico, where are they?
