I don't know. I found the picture on the web. Th URL name says marzipan baby. Marzipan is a type of fondant (candy-type frosting stuff).

My daughter and I estimated that the baby measures 3" to 4" guaging by the size of the hand. That would be equivalent to a developing baby at 3 to 4 months...about the time of most abortions.

How long before some miscreant dem comes out and says that Anne Coulter cannot comment on the evils of abortion because she had one?

You can't put anything past these lowlifes.

This kind of thinking is to my mind a demonstration of how far astray their moral compass has gone.

I've argued with a Democrat friend about this. His claim: it's not a human yet. It's a fetus. So while there is definately a moral issue at the heart of the debate I think it is more lack of basic logic that lets liberals hold a lot of their positions, including the abortion one. Someone trained in logic might ask these questions: 1) is a fetus human life (if not, what is it?) 2) is human life sacred and deserving of protection under law ? 3) QED a fetus is sacred and deserving of protection under law.

In my experience libs can't do basic logic like this, all they can do is "feel", "think" and "have opinions". There are exceptions, but this is the majority. (As we graduate fewer engineers and mathematicians and more womens studies majors I expect this trend will accelerate)

...brings to mind the scriptural warning about those who are neither hot nor cold.

Or our own Patrick Henry:

"Pacifists are among the most immoral of men - they make no distinction between aggression and defense. Therefore, pacifism is one of the greatest allies an aggressor can have." - Patrick Henry

She's a hammer to the pro-choice/pro-child bumper sticker crowd.

As a result, the Democrats lost Congress for the first time in 40 years and lost the South forever. When is the last time you heard a Democrat use the words "gun control"?

She's definitely right about this. Even my own Senator Schumer hasn't said word one about this since he took his seat. And he was quite the loud mouth regarding this issue prior to his run against Al D'Amato.

Now it's the abortion ladies' turn.

May this be so.

"You can tell yourself that the pro-choice majority stayed home in the last election, or that they voted on other issues, or that Democrats botched the debate. But those excuses are getting tired. Sixteen years ago, as the behavior of voters and politicians showed, abortion was clearly a winning issue for you. Now it isn't. You have a problem."

Betty Friedan/Gloria Steinham: "A User's Manual."

I guess Sandra Day O'Connor's demand that "the contending sides" on abortion "end their national division" and accept the court's diktat in Roe didn't work out for her.

Shouldn't that read 'natural division'? How can you get to her position and say something so worthless about something so important?

As Abraham Lincoln said of another moral blight on the nation supported by Democrats: You can "repeal the Declaration of Independence -- repeal all past history -- you still cannot repeal human nature. It will still be the abundance of man's heart, that slavery extension is wrong; and out of the abundance of his heart, his mouth will continue to speak."

That was good to read. I think he also said that when a person speaks of choice, and doesn't take into account the sufferer of that choice, his words are less than worthless.

I like that quote and am filing it away for future use.

Although the pro-abort/pro-death crowd tries to dehumanize babies when it uses "fetus" instead of "baby", they are actually unknowingly confirming a child's humanity by using that word.

They don't try to dehumanize babies, they succeed in dehumanizing them. "Fetus" may be the "correct" term, but people don't go to the hospital to deliver their "fetus", they go there to deliver their new baby.

This is the first I have heard of this sorry practice.
Do you have a book or source on this?

...or would that mean 40,000,000 more welfare-sucking Democrat voters? I imagine Conservative women have abortions at a far lower rate than Liberals.

Your point is well taken. To support from my fallible memory.

Bush won 23 of the top 24 states with the highest birth rate. They all were blue.

Kerry won 16 states with the lowest birth rate. they all were red.

Nothing more precious than a new life, in the womb or out. We are slowly turning this ship around.

How are "we" doing this by promoting Rudy Giulini for POTUS?

Who said ANYTHING about promoting him. I don't want him. From post #5 from the other thread Pissant wrote:

"Unfortunately, Guiliani will be the next Prez. Better than any democrat, but not my cup o tea."

I was giving you my political analysis, not my preferences. My preference would be Cheney, Tommy Franks, or Jeb or Brownback, at this stage.

It's been a long time coming, but the Democrats are finally throwing the NARAL ladies off the boat.

Sorry Ann, but NARAL will never cease to pull the lever for any dim on the ticket.

Huh?

In my recollection, "Bush" states are by definition "red". "Kerry" states are by definition "blue".

"Unfortunately, Guiliani will be the next Prez. "

Explain how he will win the Republican nomination with his pro-abort, pro-gay marriage stance. He won't get any evangelical Christians.

I think McCain is more likely than Guiliani, but I don't see him winning the nomination either.

"But both The New York Times and The Washington Post have recently run op-eds by liberals calling for Democrats to abandon their single-minded devotion to Roe v. Wade."

Anyone tell Feinstein???? Guess not, since she drew the line in the sand on Supreme Court nominees yesterday by saying that "in this day and age, a person who supports a woman's right to choose cannot support Judge Alito."

Perhaps she can amend her position to comply with the op-ed writers call.
