Conservative in Canada means left-of-center, just not quite as far left as the Liberals.

No way!!! Why do they call them conservatives then!! Is this a real thing?? That there still a communist party like they have two different communist parties to pick from. That sucks.
To: GMMAC
I can't tell you how happy many of us Canadians are to have a fresh dialogue once again between Canada and the US.

voted for a conservative guy You obviously have great insight into the Canadian psyche.
I'm probably one of the few exceptions to the rule cause I voted
for the Conservatives because I like their philosophy and policies
and I don't care for Liberals and Socialists.
For me, this had nothing to do with wishing to be you (although
I'm sure you're a guy to be truly envied).

For me if you voted for the conservative you all ready are wishing to be more like the USA. that other guy said that all the politicians up there are communist anyway but with different names so maybe not. If Canada doesn't want o be the USA then why they watch all American tv shows and buy American food and cars? I wonder why a Canadian even is on free republic any ways.

I'm sure you're a troll, but I like having you around. You're like Ali G. or Borat, without funny writers.
Still, you're amusing in a way, like a one-eyed cat riding a dog.

Has nothing to do with wanting to be American, it has everything to do with coming to the realization that socialist policies do not work. Many places around the world are figuring this out, yet that has little to do with the fact that they are trying to be 'American'.

Your non-sensical comments should be scrutinized, given you just signed on to FR recently. I congratulate our Canadian conservative friends on this forum. They have had to live through hell for the last 12 years

Seemingly you omitted to include "childish" & "illogical".
Since, by the juvenile "logic" so spewed, Canada must have also followed America's lead after Clinton was elected in '92 by electing the Librano$ gangsters in '93 ?!?!
Sheeesh !!! ... thankfully both nations have now restored decency.

Ah! Reading your bio, you're either an illiterate fool or a troll. Although I think you are a fool, I also think you are a troll!
