I didn't realize, until Leaky pointed it out, that Bush was humiliated by withdrawing the Miers nomination (actually, she withdrew her name; on another note, Dallas attorneys I spoke with that knew Miers were shocked, apparently she is not too bright).
Karl Rove...rope-the-dope...Meirs...
I'm really not sure what President Bush was thinking when he nominated her.
