This post was a response to the flood of horrible responses she got from liberals when she simply reported the truth; that Jack Abramoff and his organizations gave money to Democrats too. Not just a little money. A lot. Over a third of the money Abramoff and his people doled out went to Democrats. Howell simply reported this.

Then she got her throat virtually ripped out for saying so. The overwhelming reply was that "Democrats did nothing wrong...Nothing! They never took a penny! You're a lying Republican shill!". She was called things like "right-wing c-nt", "republican whore", and many, many other variations. It got so bad that the editorial staff had to ban comments for a time. When they did so, they were hammered for being in the pocket of the Republican Party. How ironic that the liberal newspaper that brought down a Republican President is now accussed of being a GOP tool. It's proof-positive of the descent into madness the liberals have taken.

And many many more...those are the clean ones. Post editors spent 4 days wiping out the ones with nasty language. The tone and message of these replies is simple...."YOU STUPID REPUBLICAN, THE DEMOCRATS DID NOTHING WRONG, NOTHING, YOU CAN'T PROVE IT, LA LA LA LA LA I'M NOT LISTENING, THE DEMOCRATS DID NOTHING, LA LA LA LA I CAN'T HEAR YOU LA LA LA LA"...

I have yet to really see how this is either a Republican or Democratic scandal.

He gave people money in relatively small amounts as campaign contributions. That's what lobbyists do. Why not pick any given lobbyist and do the same analysis.

He did get caught cheating his customers, but how does this translate into the greatest congressional scandal since Abscam?
