At a boy Marc, good job!
Bump for later
"IMHO, this whole stunt is nothing more than an attempt to gain the media spotlight for a run at the dem prez nomination."
Excellent job Marc!!!
That was priceless, thanks for posting.
What was what?
Thanks for posting.
What is Murtha's actual active duty time with units other than training? I thought perhaps you had some insite into that. I would like to know in case I get in conversation with people about him.
I don't think it's a run for Prez.
But he's got a good reason for what he's doing.
Found an article the other day that stated Dem strategy with Kerry was to actually let the focus be on medals, not congressional record, because it was so impotent.
If these allegations are true,
and the alleged corruption allegations are true,
and he's angling for Sec'y of Defense
and he's committed treason
I want him hung in the public square.
I agree, Mr. Morano presents himself very well, is lucid, clear, and forthright. Compare his performance with that of any of the shrieking harpies on the democrat side. One who comes to mind is the goofy dolt who was Kerry's spokesman in 2004 (I forget her name). She routinely appeared on TV and routinely was shot down in flames. A quick stop at DU will buttress my point that the democrats employ no rational thought processes (exhibit A: Hillary Clinton) and appear constitutionally unable to convey themselves.
I don't agree with you, but I see your point. I do believe that Murtha is a fraud who used his military service and his medals to further his political ambitions. His public statements that his service renders unto him more credibility in terms of the war than should be accorded to GWB, DC, and others, opens the game up. Had he not made those statements, there would be no reason to delve into his record. The impact of the Swifties in saving the USA from a John Kerry presidency cannot be overestimated. Similarly, had the media done its job back in 1991, 1992, perhaps the USA would have been spared the Clintons, maybe even 9/11/2001 would not have occurred.
Now, Hillary Clinton and the democrat party constitute, in my opinion, a clear and present danger to the security and perhaps sovreignty of the USA. In particular, HRC must be stopped from being elected to the Presidency. Our way of life would be altered irrevocably by a HRC presidency. But you can be sure that the entire MSM, hollywood, academe, the unions, and other un-American organizations will be at full throat for her, damn the consequences. What these democrats and hollywood misfits don't seem to understand is that they will be the first folks whose heads would be lopped off by conquering muslims. Hillary Clinton, Barbara Boxer, Dianne Feinstein will be barefoot and in burkhas faster than you could say "Osama bin Laden", if not outright killed just for being outspoken women. So, to make a long story short, I agree that attacking Murths'a record is fair game and necessary to the overall outcome in our times. He very publicly and emphatically made his stand, it's permissible to try to dissect it.
Excellent job by Morano... thanks for posting this Bob J!
Hillary Clinton will not be elected President. She is extremely mean, extremely uncharismatic, extremely liberal, extremely arrogant. She cannot hide these destructive traits no matter how she fakes it and no matter how the media try to protect her, the majority of voters will recognize this long before election day 2008 and they will not vote for her. Indeed at least 50% of the real voters already know this very well, an another 20% are very much on their way to realize this. And no, Hillary Clinton is not Bill Clinton he was vastly more charismatic, much less mean, and know how not to appear very liberal.

I think Rush summed it up today when he said something along the lines of---
She's like 1 2 or 3 of your Ex spouses rolled up into one. Who would vote for that?????
Rush Limbaugh is the best political analyst in America, period. When he says something it has over 95% probability of being true. He has always said that Hillary Clinton is no way as good, as smart, and as powerful as many pundits try to make her to be including some on our side. He thinks her chances of becoming President are low and he is not sure at all that she will be the democrat nominee in 2008.
Any idea as to his assignments? Media doesn't report much more than his hype.
The only one I am fairly sure of is his Vietnam tour when he was S2, 1st Bn, 1st Marine Division. That information was obtained by calling his office. Apparently his chief of staff was in the USMC with him.
A letter to them would be interesting, they could not lie, and it would look bad if they did not respond. I don't think he had much active duty during Vietnam. It would be interesting to note his assignments in any "active" units outside of training during his 37 year career. I would also like to see him state his actual date of awards for his two Purple Hearts. I would also like to see a list of people in comparable assignments of his that DIDN'T get a Bronze Star. At his rank and position, the Bronze Star was a kind of "I've been there" medal.
He did do a great job. He should be considered for public office or a presidental press secretary might be ideal.
WRT that time, Murtha says, "I was in the field everyday." Does that compute?
The Dems wheeled the Murtha "legend" out last fall in an attempt to batter Bush into submission. At first, it looked like Murtha was going to get away with it. Then sharp-eyed critics including Morano started chipping away at the "legend." Today, Murtha is seen as a hollow, wheezy, partisan blowhard. That's all.
If we had taken your advice and shrunk back, too terrified to call Murtha on his fraud, the antiwar movement might well be cruising in third gear.
