Rabbi merely means teacher implying spiritual teacher.. Not a few rabbis have become christians.. My Hebrew Civilzation professor was an orthdox Rabbi.. and he told me (at age 75) he would become a christian (after comeing to one of our meetings) but he was too old to change his entire life and lifestyle.. God was real to him and he was satisified with that.. What he prayed privately he would not say..
So you've tasted some fresh meat, because of that 75-yo Rabbi, eh? Very mighty it has made you. Of all your posts on this thread so, what as any one of them to do with the dread and dangerous subject? (That subject is: the mortal risk posed by this culture of Suicide for your own life, my own life, the lifes of all those we love, the lifes of all and any.)

Unfortunate and frightening.
Great cartoon.
Nope just shareing a personal anecdote.. of a sweet old guy that I loved.. He loved my school buddies and me too..
What a drama queen.. jeese..
Yet another one that might be of interest. It's hard to choose sometimes, there are so many.
I will say this about Kevorkian. From what I remember the folks he went to jail for pulled their own string. These dying folks didn't pawn the deed off on some physician or other party as they are doing in Oregon.

>>>As it happened, the decision came exactly seven days after a New Jersey nurse who has confessed to killing 29 people decided to stop cooperating with investigators. Charles Cullen maintains that he has killed up to 40 people, many of them old and ailing hospital patients whom he injected with lethal doses of drugs like those that Oregon doctors have used to end the lives of more than 200 people.

There was no Federal issue here.
If the Feds want to pass a law which bans Doctors from prescribing sufficient medication to end the life of a terminally ill patient, then let them do it. Then there may be an issue for the Federal Courts to get involved in.
In the meantime, the Feds should not inject themselves (no pun intended) into the private matters of terminally ill patients and their doctors.
If, God forbid, such a disease were ever to strike me I would pray that I could find a physician who would give me sufficient medication so that I could decide when I could no longer stand the pain.

Aw!.. hold mah beer and cigar... (((( HUG ))))...
Why wait. Life sucks, end it now, eh? No sense worrying and worrying about what may happen. Make it so there are no worries.
