"We did not complete the mission and it's frustrating," linebacker Ian Gold (Denver) said. "But anytime you make it to the AFC Championship Game and you lose, you hope to lose to a team like that." -- this was a good and classy comment by Gold.

Also, two things -- Coach Shanahan was a perfect gentleman and great sportsman after the game. He even visited the Steeler locker room for at least 15 minutes after the game.

And for you younzers........... listening to Bill Hillgrove and Tunch Ilkin on the radio........ who was that screaming girl - shrieking after every big play, sitting near the radio booth? I almost had to turn the radio off until I realised that she was screaming FOR the Steelers.

Unless the refs are flawless in the SB, we may see one of those two high strung coaches blow a gasket. There have been times I thought the Steelers' coach's head was gonna explode. The Seattle coach looks like a potential CPR when he gete angry.

I told my husband at kickoff, I don't care what happens, I will never feel bad for the Doncos... ;)

I lived outside of Boulder for a few years before Shanahan and they stunk. The morning radio show in Denver kept playing Beck's song "loser" for the entire morning show after losses and faxed the former coaches resume to every business they could find trying to get rid of him!

They would also have Tom Green (local sports caster) on to recap the games. They would play that music from old football shows (you know the kind I mean.) He recapped a game when Denver played the 49ers. In his old football documentary voice, he said "the Broncos defense went into the game with one goal. Contain Jerry Rice. The held him to 12 receptions for 240 yards and 3 touchdowns..." or something close to that. It was hysterical!
