The Schindlers were also going to be in Washington for the March for Life. Maybe Michael and Jodi in their deluded world-view thought that the Schindlers might try to stop the ceremony if they knew about it. I'm sure the Schindlers could care less what Michael does with his time these days, but Mikey will always look over his shoulder.
