My car was stolen in Prince George's County almost a year ago. The only response we ever received from the PG County Police was when they sent us a letter informing us of where we could pick-up the burned out hulk of our car.
It took a month to get them to come pick up the other stolen car that the punks can dump off before stealing my car.
If you ever have to steal a car, go to Price George's County, Maryland. They won't even try to catch you.

War on crime? Ah!
They do not want us to exercise our second amendment, so they ask satanic authorities to take over their lives. They themselves have slept with criminals and terrorists and are responsible for this situation. The government obliges of course, but it will be a criminal one without checks and balances.
War on crime? This has got to be a joke. They are paying a government to hide their relationships with criminals, they are not fighting crime. Crime will remain, with a tacitly complying government in such hiding of abortions and crime friendships. Good tax payers will be exploited by the government to hide these crimes, and such will be forbidden to carry firearms to oppose in organized fashion this exploitation done by the police gov-welfare tie. This is evil.

I would like anyone with any historical knowledge to disagree with me about the following statement. In the old west, crimes on a person were minimal in large part because citizens were allowed to arm themselves. This right precluded many crimes against the person because perpetrators were aware of the dangers that came with committing them; i.e. getting a bullet in their think skull.
The wild west wasn't as wild, in the sense of people shooting up towns and others, as it is portrayed in movies. Restraint was facilitated by the fact that most people were armed pretty much at all times.
Why has crimes against the person increased so drastically? Because fewer and fewer people protect themselves with firearms or even nonlethal means such as pepper spray or tasers. The governments throughout the world are working very hard to disarm the public to their citizens detriment and risk.

I worked in PG County for many years. I now live in New Mexico and am glad I had the opportunity to leave.

Hundreds of Prince George's residents packed an Upper Marlboro church yesterday to warn county officials that they are fed up with increasing crime and want some relief. The ones complaining the most about crime will be the ones organizing the riots when the police actually shoot one of their little darlings while stopping a robbery

Liberalism in power is always corrupt becsuse to do anything one has to go through a government agency . One must influence bureaucrats and politicians to get anything or do anything.

Actually a minority of people in the Wild West were armed but the potential that any given intended victim might be armed was a great deterrent. Same thing happens in CCW states today. If all newspapers would print all the bad-guy-gets shot news items from around the country every day, there would be further decrease in violent crimes.

I sort of "grew up" in New Mexico and love it as well. However, Maryland has its positives as well. The American history that I found to be so prevalent throughout the mid-Atlantic was beyond incredible! While in Maryland I learned that my mom's ancestral families came to Maryland in the 1600s on their way to Texas in the 1800s. The trip took them almost 200 years. From Texas I was the first to move on to New Mexico (1960s).

I guess one has to be a local to even know where this city, town, state, or country is.

Well, I guess that just makes my comment that the media's portrayal of the old west that much more valid. Would you put the numbers pretty close to the numbers in CCW states now?
