1983 is the earliest I can remember watching the NFL. I didn't really understand the game fully then but I do remember the Raiders killing the 'Skins in the SB.

The end of the Raider dynasty. Between '67 and '83 they were 176 - 61 - 7 with 11 division titles and 3 Super Bowl rings. Since then Al Davis has slowly but surely driven the team into the ground.

My first NFL memories were going to the L.A. Coliseum in the late 60s to see the George Allen-coached Rams led by Roman Gabriel, Merlin Olsen, and Deacon Jones.

That team still had some of the old stars from the Oakland team.

You remember them??

Tell ya -- those Rams teams were nast-y -- led by Deacon Jones and the rest of the "Fearsome Foursome."

Hey, the Steelers were very impressive, eh?
