Are you ready for some football? My predictions:
Denver 23/Pittsburgh 13, Seattle 24/Carolina 17
You're very welcome!
Very nice call.
What a play by Randal-El! Pittsburgh is definitely in the driver's seat!
Ooooh, first flag of the game, too!
Another hugh conversion.
Is that the coke deal or Kubiak going to the Texans?
FIRST during-the-game penalty...
1st down, great D
2nd down, great D
3rd down, no D
My friends are on Mythbusters right now - so, I'm watching that instead of the game.
I'll catch up via the thread.
;-)
Very quick moving game thus far.
Very!
Kind of pointless playing well on the first two downs if you play lousy on the last one.
Two ball control offenses, almost no penalties. Very well played and officiated so far.
Third down; need to make a try for the EZ here.
Oops, I guess there was a flag for out of bounds on a kickoff, mea culpa.
FROM the NFL:
Tough Odds
Since the Wild-Card System began in 1970, only seven wild-card teams have advanced all the way to the Super Bowl. Of those, only three won the Super Bowl.
In 1969, the AFL implemented a playoff format that had the top two teams in each division qualifying for the post-season. The Kansas City Chiefs, who did not win the AFL Western Division title, accomplished the tough feat of advancing through the AFL playoffs before defeating the NFL champion Minnesota Vikings in Super Bowl IV.

Pittsburgh just can't afford to turn the ball over (like the Pats did last week). Denver can't afford to let them into the end zone again.
Room to convert and score and holding all their TOs.
They're playing zone trying to keep from giving up the big play. The infamous bend but don't break.
Carolina wasn't a wild card team in 2003 but they did have to win three playoff gmaes to get to the SB.
Or not. ;) First down at the 3!
