After reading the article, and having seen Steele on TV and read of the vile attacks on him by the Dems, I decided to make a contribution to his campaign, although I'm not from Maryland.

The Steele campaign reported that he raised $853,350, including about $500,000 on a single day in November when President Bush attended a Baltimore fund-raiser for the lieutenant governor.

Mfume does worse against Steele than the White Candidate.

They should explore the reason for the 2% difference.

9 1/2 months out, only the politically aware fringe even know the candidates' names. Wait till October when the Dem media is in full swing campaign mode against the Republican and we will see how Steele is doing.
