There were millions born during that time, so the generation is not lost. The aborted lives would have made the generation bigger. I have heard comments from some pro-aborts that it's no loss because it kept the population down. Go figure.
My favorite is I'm glad my morthr didn't believe in abortion.

Excellent observation, and I'd like to repeat what you wrote!
The fact that the anti-abortion legislations EXISTED in the first place- particularly so early in our country's existence, and without challenge- shows that anti-abortion legislation WAS seen as Constitutional, which should have been taken into consideration

wish more people who get paid to write would pay attention. I somehow doubt you're referring to me here, but since I wrote the parenthetical in the thread title, I don't get paid to write. :)

The infamous and proud abortionist in Kansas named Tiller has had several women die in his care as well - sometimes during a 3rd trimester abortion procedure.

No one asks such questions. God will forgive, but Nature never forgets.Newsflash: Nature is NOT a person.
Secondly, God wont forgive those who do not ask. As C.S. Lewis said..the doors of Hell are locked from the inside.

Let's hear a few words from "Mr. Constitutionalist."
By Congressman Ron Paul:
--snip--
Libertarians believe, along with the Founding Fathers, that every individual has inalienable rights, among which are the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Neither the State, nor any other person, can violate those rights without committing an injustice. But, just as important as the power claimed by the State to decide WHAT rights we have, is the power to decide WHICH of us has rights.
--snip--
A case in point is a young libertarian leader I have heard about. He supports the "right" of a woman to remove an unwanted child from her body (i.e., her property) by killing and then expelling him or her. Therefore, he has consistently concluded, any property owner has the right to kill anyone on his property, for any reason.

"My Cold Hearted View of abortion says that it is really a self curing problem. In time, the problem will go away by itself. Those women who dont have the time and don't want to take the trouble to raise a child have an abortion. They are removing their genes from the gene pool."
Sorry, that is incorrect. The problem isn't a physiological genetic issue at all, it is a spiritual issue. No amount of genetic manipulation will make extinct mankind's depravity and desire to have self-gratification without consequences.

The late Senator Prescott Bush, who left office in January 1963, was once an officer of Planned Parenthood of America, wasn't he? Wasn't the Bush family's involvement in Planned Parenthood a reason for the first George Bush's original pro-Roe stance?

President Bush will be phoning pro-lifers in D.c. right before he makes his speech on terror in Manhattan, Kan., a speech I get to attend since I managed to get press credentials for it despite just being my college newspaper editor.
I am excited. I have never seen Bush speak before in person.
In any event, I wonder what he will say to the pro-lifers tomorrow? Will he mention it in the speech or not? It is a big deal.
