Has the Boston Herald always been this "far right", or is it just Howie Carr? At any rate, I enjoyed reading this very much!

The Herald is mainly to the right. It endorsed President Bush in 2000 and 2004.

Howie has had the number of the Kennedy, Kerry, and the rest of the Irish Mafia for a long time.
They have been and remain a criminal enterprise, and Howie loves exposing the jerks.
btw if anyone knows the whereabouts of Whitey Bulger please inform law enforcement immediately. ;-)

The Herald has always been sensible, and Howie is a gem.

Yes, the Herald is the conservative paper in town. The Globe is...well, the NY Times Jr.

The Herald is pretty much to the right on most things, but at times they are schizoid. Carr is their resident "wild man."
Their attempts at "fair and balanced" sometimes in my view leave them as appearing conflicted.
