I'll never forget the night Jane Jarow from Oklahoma won the Miss America pagent. That was back in the mid 60's, when it was a big deal, with only three TV networks, and the pagent was often one of the biggest rated shows of the evening.

My uncle had made good working for IBM, and he decided to give my grandmother a color TV. She and I went to the TV store, and picked out the best TV they had. They delivered it that day, the first color TV that anyone in the close family had.

I stayed with her that night, and the big show we watched that night was the Miss America pagent, and Jane won. We cheered like we had won the superbowl.

There have been several oklahoman's that have won it since. Girls from Oklahoma are damn pretty. My grandchildren, who live there now, certianly are.

If that is made up, it isn't funny -- she is from Oklahoma -- you know the State that every county went for Pres Bush and she is from the campus that went overwhelmingly for Pres Bush and the OU CR's outnumber the College RATs 5-1.

Chances of her being a liberal here are slim to none and I cannot believe she would make that remark.
