U.S. and European security experts have become increasingly alarmed by the actions of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko -- in particular, his growing diplomatic, economic and military ties to global antagonists China, Iran and Russia. With the support of this new "axis of evil," Mr. Lukashenko -- Europe's last remaining dictator -- has initiated a Cold War campaign against the West and the United States
Over the past year, Mr. Lukashenko has made a determined effort to strengthen his contacts with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, an avowed anti-Semite and self-proclaimed enemy of the West. Since 1993, Iran has been a key recipient of Belarusian military and technology exports, receiving Soviet-made T-72 tanks and artillery, II-76 transport planes and conventional weapons from Minsk.
Mr. Lukashenko personally ordered Soviet-trained Belarusian chemists, scientists and technicians to work closely with Iran's mullahs on the deadly Shahab missile system -- designed to strike Europe and Israel -- as well as on the country's uranium enrichment and chemical warfare programs.
"Military cooperation with Iran will be carried out without danger to the world or security in the region," Mr. Lukashenko has said. ...
Bilateral relations between Belarus and China have also grown substantially over the past several years. Visiting Beijing in December, Mr. Lukashenko signed a declaration outlining further economic and political cooperation between Beijing and Minsk. ...
In early 2005, both countries signed a joint "Declaration for the 21st Century" document, agreeing to cooperate in the fields of economy, trade, science and military affairs. In addition, Wu Guansheng, a member of the Communist Party of China, and Chinese DefenseMinisterCao Gangchuan both visited Minsk last May. Not long after their visit, Belarusian Defense Minister Leonid Maltsev arrived in Beijing, where he signed documents allowing Chinese military personnel to train in Belarus.

The only agent around here is the propaganda shill for Third Way Socialists, that would be you.
Your ignorance on the subjects you chirp about is incredible and it has been a long running pleasure to show you up over and over again. No matter how bad my day has been, I can count on that. Thanks.
And are you now accusing me of being Romanov also? Boy, the pills are wearing off or the tin foil is to tight.
So let rehash your paranoia: I am now also: x5452 and Romanov...care to add Garyspfc, Mount Athos, Hill of Tara or anyone else to that list?
We...refers to the little mouse in his pocket.
Over 20% of the contract military in Russia is Ukrainian. I got to see that first hand in Bosnia and the contracted airborne brigade there. Ukrainian workers are all over Russian construction sites...don't try to make crap up. Maybe in Western Ukraine its true, its a pure lie in Eastern Ukraine but then again, the nationalists don't consider anyone in eastern Ukraine "true" Ukrainian anyways.
So what? Russians have statues and streets named after the butchers of Ukraine- Peter, Catherine, Stalin(less so).
Was I?
These are migrant WORKERS, not Ukrainian immigrants that Romanov was alluding to. Immigrants are someone who come with their kids and wives and begin the process of becoming Russian citizens. The ones currently in Russia (at least overwhelming majority) are not it, they're Gastarbeiters- time runs out, they go home.
You seem confused. Belarus is not a Russian state, it's a soverign independant nation.
Second to last dicatorship.
Ukraine is a dictatorship also, where the president has absolute authority to dismiss government.
Butchers? Now you're just geting ridiculous.
Nasha Ukraina has made government a joke, Ukraine investment look only somewhat safer than investment in Iraq, and cut 10% off GDP while confiscating private companies for state ministries.
Yes, they go home, just like the 1 million Georgians who now hold Russian citizenship and go home just long enough to remember why they left in the first place.
As for Peter, I wouldn't exactly call him a butcherer of Ukrainians nor Catherine who also built Lughansk and several other cities.
ok, I guess I'll go case by case for you.
Peter I, (a homo)- construction of St. Petersburg; Baturyn; murders of Cossacks commanders (ex.Polubotok)
Catherine- destruction of Sich; institution of full serfdom in Ukraine.
Stalin- obvious.
NORTHERN WAR, SWEDES AND RUSSIAN TSAR PETER I IN BEREZHANY
The events of Northern War, caused coming of the greatest Russian tsar Peter I to Berezhany. The owner of Berezhany, magnate Sieniawski took part in this war on the side of Polish king August II and his ally, the Russian tsar against the Swedes and other Polish king Stanislaw Lieszczynski. In 1707 Peter I came to Berezhany while going from Zolkiew (Zhovkva, former Nesterov in Lviv region) to develop the strategic plans of fight against the enemy. He surveyed the castle, studied its defensive capabilities. Peter I lived in a summer hunting palace of Sieniawski in suburbian village Raj (Ray, now part of the town). The palace is preserved until nowadays, being declared as architecture monument.
In 1709 Berezhany was attacked by the detachment of A. Smigielski, the adherent of king Lieszczynski but Smigielski experienced the defeat here.

Crimea wouldn't even be a part of Ukraine for the government to opress if not for Cathrine conquering it.
Give it 20 years. Some enterprising east europeon nation will come to conquer ukraine and they'll run back to Russia begging for help.
If not for it's Russian brothers Ukraine would speak Polish.
The answer is obvious - No Soap, Radio
And can you say TEMNYKY?
"And are you now accusing me of being Romanov also?"
No - I accused you of being Puties Temnyky Lackies.
If these are secret kremlin orders how do you know the?
Much to your dismay, we now have the internet which greatly facilitates the dissemination of truth.
Which is why you read propaganda mags.
"For the uninitiated, "Temnyky" are the offical talking points put out by the Kremlin and it instructs news organizations in Russia how to report the news so that it fulfills Kremlin political strategy. "
For the uninitiated, "Temnyky" are what the anti-Semitic, anti-Western,anti-democratic,anti-American, anti-Putin, pro-Communist, pro-Nationalist (see: Red-Brown coalitions) newspaper "Zavtra" uses as disinformation. Spanalot uses "Zavtra" propaganda to further his own agenda - which is in direct contradiction to our government's agenda, ergo, Spanalot, an immigrant who should have sworn alligience to his new country, forsaking his old country, continues to use insipid postings to further whatever cause he trumpets.
This source, "Zavtra" that spanalot continues to use, and refuses to condemn (even though the source is for everything Free Republic is against and denounces the very things FR stands for), is published by a close friend of Gennadyj Zyuganov (Communist Party leader) and Dmitri Rogozin (Nationalist [Motherland] Party leader). They published this fake "temnyk" story to soil Putin and make Rogozin look like he was being smeared by a coordinated attack by the government. Something spanalot seems to know a lot about.
For anyone who wants to learn more about these Red-Brown coalitions and how people like spanalot use them to further their causes, might I recommend the book, "Black Hundred" written by Walter Lacquer. Although written over a decade ago, it remains relevent. It also shows how nationalists from all former Soviet Republics use the tactics of Russian right-wing extremists to further their cause. What spanalot shows is he's willing to use Russian nationalist propaganda when it suits his purpose. Were I to post other articles that "Zavtra" authors have written about the Ukraine he would label me a racist and say I used racist sources. But, since in this case, he thinks he can tar other people using this source, he does. But remains cowardly silent when his source is called into question.
Spanalot continues to also rely on Stalinist and Communist methods of dealing with disagreements - libel and slander your opposition, call into question their loyalty to the state, lie about what they say, and twist their words. All done in an attempt to discredit any disagreement. Evidently he was trained well.
