Twenty-four hours after Osama bin Laden told the world that the American people should read the work of a little-known Washington historian, William Blum was still adjusting.
Blum, who at 72 is accustomed to laboring in relative left-wing obscurity, checked his emotions and pronounced himself shocked and, well, pleased.
"This is almost as good as being an Oprah book," he said yesterday between telephone calls from the world media and bites of a bagel. "I'm glad."

Bush hit the nail on the head when he said "you're either with us or against us."

CW2 PING
And who is buying this left-wing anti-American propaganda screed? The hordes of America-hating leftists in our society, that's who. They already agreed with everything in this book, they just didn't know it was on their assigned reading list.
That will be a great list to have, after CW2 breaks out and goes hot.
Thanks Amazon, for giving us the tools.

I don't understand the propensity for some Jews to screw Israel over either. Appeasing and accomodating only work to postpone the inevitable. Collaborating with the enemy may buy you a little more time, but once their usefulness runs out, so will their lives.
I think that they took the wrong lessons from the holocaust and rather than fighting evil and dying for freedom, they would sell out their own in a craven attempt to save their own worthless skin.

Rampant mental disease amongst a group that squeaked by total extermination thanks to America's intervention, despite political foot-dragging before and after the war. SHJ Syndrome may well accomplish what Hitler and the Arabs failed to do.
God said that the Jews are his chosen people (in the texts) so as a Baptist I have to go with that. If they wipe themselves out in America through self-loathing and foolish politics that's their problem, but our official support of Israel is critical to keeping the "Caliphate" from happening. It's a simple choice: live among people of the Book that differ on almost every philosophical viewpoint or abide the presence of totally alien fanatics that might decide to send their kid to the school bus packing an explosive.
Easy choice.

Gee, not only does Osama recommend him, so does these fools:
"Far and away the best book on the topic."
Noam Chomsky
"I enjoyed it immensely."
Gore Vidal
"I bought several more copies to circulate to
friends with the hope of shedding new light
and understanding on their political outlooks."

We know we are about done for when someone thinks publicity and the resulting profit that originates from such a monster is a good thing.
Sure, I'd take profit from where I could get it, but I'd never ask for nor be pleased that it came from a monster.

I look at it as a net gain, if we can access that Amazon purchase list when the time comes.
