The flood of abortion since Roe has very odd cultural ramifications, while I am pro life, I can't help but take some stock in the notion that lower crime rates are due to increased abortion rates. Furthermore, it has increased the percentage of children being born into stable families which leads to the phenomenon discussed in this article.

The effects are very Malthusian, and that was the intent of the early abortion advocates.

Something similar has happened in Europe--except that there the live-for-the-moment crowd is being replaced by Muslim immigrants.

Those crime rates would not be lower if the 45 million murders were included in the stats.

Unacceptable. I personally have a lot of doubt in their theory that more abortions = lower crime rate. "Lower crime rate" is a PATHETIC excuse for genocide of 45,000,000 human beings in the United States alone.

Furthermore, it has increased the percentage of children being born into stable families which leads to the phenomenon discussed in this article.

HUUUUUUUUUUH? What do you consider a "stable family"? According to the chart below, the number of children born to unmarried mothers has RISEN (significantly) since Roe v. Wade. I consider a stable family to include a married male & female, not unmarried females.

Don't bother putting any stock in it, because it is totally false. For example, the big murder spikes and gang wars in the major cities began at a time when the first wave of aborted children would have been 10-12 years old if they had lived. There's a lot of other stuff that hasn't matched up. If you look around for analyses of the book "Freakonomics," you'll find several people have completely debunked the idea (advanced in the book) that abortion led to less crime.

What really wanted to make me puke about the Bill bennett fiasco is that I heard Blacks of every political stripe condemn Bennett, but I never heard one of them condemn the author of FReakonomics for his sincere, non-hypothetical thesis that killing several million black children has made America a better place to live. I can't think of a more racist statement than that.

A causative link between rising rates of abortion and lowering crime stats cannot be made. Cannot. Simply not possible.

45 million lives lost, that's the only stat that matters at all. It is a factual stat, not a mere notion.
