Looking forward to your next Code Pink Freep and the report. One of these days I will be over on your side of the country to join you. It will be a huge honor to Freep with the DC chapter of FR.
I love your tagline. BWAHHAAA
Thank you! We'll be glad to have you join us in supporting our troops!
?? About what?
My tagline does not refer to individuals - it refers to the collective forum. The tagline is oh-so-very true, unfortunately. 5% do 95% of the work. And me saying that pisses off some people around here. I don't care.
Imagine what this place could accomplish if threads about supporting the troops routinely received just half the interest of a thread featuring the word "breasts" in the title.
It cannot be repeated enough that one of "our boys" told a FReeper - was it you, Justanobody? - as he was brought in he could look out and see us through the window, and it gave a comforting lift to his spirits.
What they do is so heroic, it makes me feel so small. How do you ever say thank you? How can you ever do enough? Last Friday felt so good, not just because we bested the human detritus of Code Pinko, but because we could give that victory as a gift to our heroes.
*sniff* Time to go and make valentines for some very special people.
:-)
LOL! Mr. and Mrs. Trooprally are a force to be reckoned with.
Kudos to you too LF. I wouldn't want to be on your bad side, especially when you are in the presence of your cats.
:-)
Perform a random act of kindness and gratitude for a veteran or one of our active duty troops. Go online, make a donation, send a Valentine, or better yet, contact your nearest veteran's hospital/outpatient center to see what volunteer opportunities they have or donations they may need. Show them you care.
I just received a FReepmail with a question regarding this thread or I would not have seen your post.
I received 2 letters from Iraq today. I would like to share a sentence from each of these letters. Emphasis mine.
From a Army Combat Medic: "Thank you. You definitely helped motivate me by reminding me that someone cares."
From a Marine Lcpl: "A lot of people don't support us troops over here and it is just nice to know that there are still a few people that do."
I don't have a bad side. :)
That'll work!
You're going to get me in trouble. I try my hardest to maintain a ladylike representation, Coop!
And now you're going to make me suggest that maybe it's a guy problem. Maybe it some of us girls started talking about penises we could rouse some of the ladies to action.
I'll say it again, everyone could become a millionaire easily buying stock in tissues. There sure are a lot of them being used around here.
Yea, looking back over the months that I've known you, you are right. Semi quoting another FReeper, you are a "sweetheart", and have done a lot of great things for the troops and FR.
Just pulling your leg :-)
{Mr} T
You drink with a bunch of Marines, It's almost impossible for us to think of you as a Lady.
A Madam perhaps or a Female Drill instructor.
Or every mother of a marine who heart swells with pride at the sight of a set of Blues.
You just haven't FReeped 'til you've FReeped with the DC Chapter!
And it doesn't rain on us!
you have a freepmail.
