Star Jones has told viewers that the war on terror is nothing more than a clash of male egos between President Bush and Osama bin Laden, the NEW YORK POST reports.
Yesterday, the co-host of ABC's THE VIEW told viewers during a discussion of bin Laden's latest audio tape:
"You know what? At some point, one of these men has to put it back in his pants and zip up the zipper."
She even suggested that Bush hold some kind of talk with the man behind 9/11.
"I won't trust him, but anything that gives me the opportunity to seek peace, I would at least check it out.
"People make deals with the devil all the time. We make deals with people we don't like," she said.
"You don't negotiate with terrorists," said Elisabeth Hasselbeck, the show's youngest host.
"You don't negotiate," Jones interrupted, "but I do think you figure out when there is a solution that's diplomatic that doesn't result in [loss of] human life.
"What do we have to lose to check it out?" Star said.
"You know what?" she then added, "At some point, one of these men has to put it back in his pants and zip up the zipper at some point."
"This isn't somebody whipping it out," shot co-host Meredith Vieira.
"You know what, I'm a little tired of posturing back and forth," Jones replied.

"You know what? At some point, one of these men has to put it back in his pants and zip up the zipper."
Nice mouth Star. Vulgar to the bone.
YOU did the exact same thing that I did last night...I was amusing myself by checking in there and on the KOS site..
You have described my reactions as well...
I usually only stay a second or so...BECAUSE of the foul language more than anything...but,
I did get a kick out of how angry they are at people that WE hate...like Chrissy Matthews, Joe Biden, Harry Reid, Hillary Clinton....
AHHHHHHH...it almost made up for NOT being able to be on FR!!
Also...have you noticed that the theory that Bush was behind 9/11 has moved from the FAR kook fringe, into the more "mainstream" kooks on DU and Kos??? They really believe that the timing of Bin Ladin's missives are somehow linked to Bush's problems and helping Bush out...
That really gives me a lot of hope that the elections in 2006 and 2008 will NOT go democrat...because they are going totally loopy!!
She obviously has an issue with those that have something to put back in before they zip up. She probably hates Bush more because he's more of a man than OBL.
oh dear. lost weight through stomach stapleiing and now has a book out. How ORIGINAL. The term "Authored a book" certainly doesn't mean much anymore. Any nitwit can get a book published if they have money.
I don't know who watches The View, I have never seen even a second of it...
But, I do know that even "conservative" talk show hosts get a kick out of being invited on that show...like Hannity and O'Reilly.
Hannity, O'Reilly, and Laura Ingraham have all visited. When I sent Laura Ingraham an e-mail after her appearance on the show, asking her is she was 'selling out', she replied asking if Hannity and O'Reilly had sold out. I can't blame conservatives for trying to reach out by appearing on such a show, but I think the format defeats anything they have to say. (And I don't consider BOR a conservative!)
Bridezilla Jones Reynolds also said she doesn't recognize Dubya as President.
I had to go back and see where the story came from, because it also quoted the little right-winger Hasselbeck. Oh, it's Drudge. Well, good.
Poor little Elisabeth always gets talked over and shouted down for her VRWC "View" of things, so she comes across as a rigid, angry, dogmatic little person. They let her open her mouth once or twice per show, so she has to put everything she's got into it. I feel so sorry for her; she tries so hard.
Bridezilla's book is called "Shine." Can you imagine if anyone else had suggested that name besides her?
I sure did miss FR for the short time it was down but I guess the DU folks helped for some laughs. Actually I don't know whether to laugh or cry about their stupidity. The funny thing is, they think they are the smart ones.
I usually only stay a second or so...BECAUSE of the foul language more than anything...
Yes, I could only stomach a few minutes worth myself. The other night someone from FR posted a screen shot from one of the threads over there--something to the affect Mrs. Alito can go "blank" herself. Last night I saw one entitled "blank" Ben Nelson. Such deep thinkers over there.
They really believe that the timing of Bin Ladin's missives are somehow linked to Bush's problems and helping Bush out...
I know--everything is a conspiracy over there. Someone from FR said that the DUmmies claimed that Karl Rove even set up the Mrs. Alito crying spells during the hearings.
My brief message to "The View":
I didn't realize that "Star" Jones searched for survivors down at Ground Zero and has since become an expert on all matters military and political. How nice.
Instead of concentrating so hard on topics she simply will never have the ability nor capacity to understand, she should instead strive towards removing her foot from her mouth and insert another donut. She sounds "smarter" when she's talking with her mouth full of food.
Oh, and by the way, I await Jones' apology to all of those who suffered through 9/11.
P.S. I've never been to the KOS site. I think my husband has.
Well, the good thing that was said in the mindless discussion they had was that some poll said if Hillary were to run against John McCain "today," he would get 52% of the vote and she would get 32%.
(Of course, they added that if she ran against anyone else, she would win.)
They think Algore is making a comeback. Bridezilla thinks he's President "now."
KOS is pretty much the same thing...and the same language...ugh.
Meanwhile, young, cute, blonde, INTELLIGENT Elizabeth Hasselbeck's husband is going to win the super bowl. I think Elizabeth is so adorable...she fights the conservative fight on The View...and she is considerably outweighed by Star Jones and Joy Behar. Both are pretty disgusting, can out-talk a braying mule, but she gives it her best shot!
Didn't Star say she was still bitter over the 2000 election?
I didn't realize they had a conservative view point on the show. Of course, I've only seen the show a couple of times. Once was when Anne Coulter was on--that was sort of painful to watch.
Elisabeth is married to Tim Hasselbeck.
I'm afraid to go there - might catch a disease or something. Also, my conservative computer might become disoriented and crash.
