An audio statement by Osama bin Laden broadcast on al-Jazeera television Thursday appears to be related to recent threats made by an al Qaeda front in Europe and points to an imminent attack, according to a Washington-based analyst.
Christopher L. Brown of the Hudson Institute earlier this month analyzed the Jan. 6 videotaped message of Ayman al-Zawahiri, bin Laden's chief deputy. The tape, Brown said, and other al Qaeda communications indicated a high probability that al Qaeda would launch a major terrorist attack in the next 30 days and that the United States was the likeliest target.
Cybercast News Service reported on Brown's analysis in an exclusive report published on Jan. 11. Brown, a researcher

If AQ attacks in the next 30 days, the dems will scream for negotiation and accepting the truce offered by bin laden. And bin laden knows this. He's pretty well tuned in to the dems. Heck, the dems could have written his latest statement. (All except for the Iraq keeping AQ busy part).
If you read the details, the analysis is: "You can't believe a thing the bastards say, and they will attack you if they can."
When the Madrid and London bombing occurred, no such threat had been made.
So these communiques mean absolutely nothing. Frankly, I'm not even convinced they mean bin Laden is still alive.
I hope we take this loser out soon, real soon.
The dems have, of course, done the country a great disservice because they have presented an opening to Al Queda by causing them to believe a democrat victory will mean withdrawal at least from Iraq, and safety for Syria and Iran. This is too tempting a political/ military target for an organization as desperate as Al Queda. Leftists get people killed, and not in small numbers.
Jack (booze) Cafferty claims this is just a trick by the White House. He must have inside info...
Yeah but the American people will reject it and the dems will see a crushing defeat.
So is the attack really imminent, seriously imminent or imminently imminent?
I seriously doubt this. The dems are stupid, but not that stupid.
It's more than a little suspicious - it's the same methodology Muhammed used against his enemies. Call for a truce to re-align and re-supply your troops and then attack at a time of your choosing. BTW - remember that it's always O.K. to lie to an infidel, especially during Jihad.
I was a Bush suppoprter, but he either cannot or will not defend our southern border and is therefore NOT protecting us from our enemies.
Something that seems to have been missed (or ignored) by most of the media, including the trustworthy web media, is that Bin Laden didn't actually offer a truce. He stated that he would accept a truce if the US offered one.
It gives the Muslims a chnce to regroup and get on track in the future with killing Infidels. It' called Hudna.
Remember your obligately to God (Allah) is to convert or kill Infidels. You are under notmoral obligation to bargain in god faith. This isn't about you and your reputation. It is about doing Allah's work.

Hudna has a distinct meaning to Islamic fundamentalists, well-versed in their history: The prophet Mohammad struck a legendary, ten-year hudna with the Quraysh tribe that controlled Mecca in the seventh century. Over the following two years, Mohammad rearmed and took advantage of a minor Quraysh infraction to break the hudna and launch the full conquest of Mecca, the holiest city in Islam.
When Yassir Arafat infamously invoked Mohammad's hudna in 1994 to describe his own Oslo commitments "on the road to Jerusalem," the implication was clear. As Mideast expert Daniel Pipes explained, Arafat was asserting to his Islamic brethren that he will, "when his circumstances change for the better, take advantage of some technicality to tear up existing accords and launch a military assault on Israel." Indeed, this is precisely what occurred in Sept. 2000 when Arafat & Co. launched a terror assault upon Israeli citizens.
Yep, and soon. That tape also served as an execution order.
