This is because of something in the Best of the Web from OpinionJournal--in reference to the irrational paranoia of the Left withn regards to the Bush Administration. The quote Taranto provided is as follows:
"There is nothing patriotic about hating your country, or pretending that you can love your country but despise your government. There is nothing heroic about turning your back on America, or ignoring your own responsibilities."
I've read through the article and have posted some gems to use should you ever encounter the immature paranoia:
-Our founding fathers created a system of laws in which reason could prevail over fear. Without respect for this law there is no freedom.
-If you treat law enforcement officers who put their lives on the line for your safety every day like some kind of enemy army to be suspected, derided and, if they should enforce the law against you, to be shot, you are wrong.
-If you want to preserve your own freedom, you must stand up for the freedom of others with whom you disagree.
And, perhaps the best of all: How dare you suggest that we in the freest nation on Earth live in tyranny. How dare you call yourselves patriots and heroes.
Nothing like using the words of their Golden Boy to shut them up...
Clinton is still President?
Dang! I had a wonderful dream that George W. Bush had been elected President.
The real American heroes today are the citizens who get up every morning and have the courage to work hard and play by the rules --
----
Yeah, Billy Boy. And you should have added "so we, the government, can tax it all away from you"...the words "play by the rules" coming from this lying, criminal, treasonous degenerate make me want to puke.
Best of all, the LATE Pres. Clinton would work for me.
(And so appropriate, too)
Wishing for his death is hardly and intellectual response...

Don't forget to call them Wolverines, Bill.
He should be referred to properly as, the impeached former president. If it was Nixon, you know impeached would be his middle name.
To the MSM, it's still President Clinton and they refer to Dubya as 'Mr. Bush'.
Zero respect.
Funny how the words of a liar always come back to prove you to be such.
You're right, of course. "Work hard and play be the rules" was a Bill J. catch phrase. His defintion of "working hard" was shaking hands, eating rubber chicken (or, his case, a Big Mac), and chasing tail 'til 3 AM. Oh yes, and he was the guy was divinely empowered to make "the rules" you had to play by, and to change them if/when he got caught violating them himself.
This is from a speech he gave in 1995, when he was still President...
On the contrary, if it benefits this great nation, it is entirely an intellectual response.
Does that bother you?
