FYI, as a CA native AND American citizen of Mexican ancestry, I am not "outraged about the illegal immigration issue". There is enough in a healthy economy (and more importantly, American values of Freedom and Hope for a new life) for everyone here - what we should NOT do is anything to trigger another recession though.
Well then you won't mind paying the NINE BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR that it is costing CA alone to allow illegals to stay here.
and I won't even get into the THIRD OF THE PRISON POPULATION who just so happen to be illegals or the lack of hospitals that have closed because they couldn't afford to give the illegals FREE MEDICAL CARE!
I could go on and on but you appear to be totally ignorant of the facts and I reeeeely don't have the time nor the inclination to spend educating you. Do your own research.
And don't give me this "recession" BS.
Californians were picking fruits and vegetables, cleaning toilets, washing dishes, scrubbing floors and cutting grass long before illegals showed up.
The illegals need to GET IN LINE just like my grandparents did!
You obviously don't understand the 'issue' as we do...one of National Security, Crime, Bankrupt Health Care System, Bankrupt School System, Environmental Disaster, etc.
I get the impression by your comment regarding multiple solutions that you think we're looking at only a narrow slice of the problem. You'd be thinking rather incorrectly, my FRiend.
Do a keyword search on 'aliens', read the articles, and then think about what they mean. I'm talking about military incursions, MS-13, cop-killers, OTMs from terrorist-sponsoring nations, closed hospitals, border communities whose school populations are at least half illegal, and scores of dead peons whose lives mean nothing more than the crossing fee to the coyotes they trust.
Then you may begin to get it. Until then...well...you don't.
Given the level of immigrant poverty in this country, despite the subsidies of the taxpayers, I'd say there isn't enough for everyone. And there certainly isn't enough for the 40 million poor in Mexico who are yet to come.
