Exactly!
I like Rice, but I don't think she has a chance at being nominated.
She is great on foreign affairs, but on domestic issues she is fairly liberal. Plus she has never run for anything. I think there is a good chance she will be the VP nominee and I think George Allen will be the GOP nominee.
She would not have made that comment unless her husband put her up to it. Make no mistake about it, the Bushes are quietly moving behind Rice in 2008.
I read a post here on FR a couple weeks ago that said President Bush's "43" new nickname for Condi is "44".
I hope to see just that happen. Run Condi!
The person she fears in the 'Rat primaries is Algore. But I think the Clintonistas will rearrange the primary process to make it nearly impossible for anyone but Hitlery to get the nomination.
Alan Colmes arguing there is a double standard on H&C..
Dick telling him he's reading from the Hillary talking points.. lol
He's bound to be working for the Clintons. He and they know Hillary has no chance against McCain, Giuliani, or Allen. The only person she has a chance against is Condi. No offence to Condi, I like her for Prez but I think she'd be more of an asset at VP. You know Hillary is gonna pick Osama Obama for VP, the Dems want to have a first w/ the blacks for a change in a high position. If Condi is nominee, who w/ stature is she gonna pick for VP? With Obama as Dem VP he is either raised in stature to our nominee Condi or he drags her down (the two black candidates, see?) making it look like we have two VP's and no Prez nominee. Anyone follow this?
Hillary's comment was disgusting. No Republican countered it effectively, guaranteeing that the Democrats will continue to race-bait Republicans in the future.
Morris is "wrong" all the time, imo. He has no character, he is all about Morris. He can be an entertainment, but he's a steaming pile of D.C. polling debris.
"Morris has more coccamamie political angles than anybody, especially when he is hyping a book..."
"Morris seems like a Real Life..."
I'm just excited to finally know how to spell "coccamamie"... : )
true, he's a total jerk and foot pervert and not a political genius. I don't believe Condi could ever get the GOP nomination. She is definitely not conservative enough and in some ways is another Colin Powell. She was, i'm sure, trained in triangulation or the dialectic. Also, remember, she was schooled by the Clinton's Madeline Notso bright's father. Need we know more?
bump
Dick is Delusional. A pathological criminal has no fear.
Hillary in charge. You must be kidding. She cannot control her tongue or her behavior. She cannot keep her man at home. She is indecisive. She's just a wannabe. She has never been in charge of and run anything.
Muleteam1
The thing about Morris is that he's WAY to sure about everything or pretends to be. He seems to have a whole fantasy future in his head, in which Hillary will be coronated by the Dems and Condi will throw her hat into the ring, win the primary, and win the general election by the skin of her teeth. Morris probably has the next eighty years of American history mapped out in his head. He absolutely refuses to waver from his clairvoyent vision.
Morris worked for the Republicans, betrayed them and worked for the clintoons, was given the boot by hillary, and took a job at the NY Post.
I have always assumed that he is hungry for power, and really misses being in the middle of the White House action. So, for a while he dangled after Bush, and then when that didn't fly he dangled after the clintons, and so on, back and forth, back and forth. He pretty much writes whatever he thinks will get him a job with either team.
He craves to get back to his toe-sucking days. Top of the world!
Every time I see Sharpton's picture, it scares *me*, too.
And IMHO a *very* astute observer of the political scene.
I've met the man, and he's nowhere near as unctuous in person as he appears on televison.
Not really. if she has a serious battle with Sharpton, there may be residual rancor among the AAs which will hurt her in the primaries (where she can't get the MoveOn crowd against an antiwar leftist candidate), and later in the General if its a white woman against a black woman.
