At the White House, the president met with current and former Iraqi citizens, victims of Saddam Hussein's regime.
Laura Bush continues her African visit (with her daughter, Barbara). She criticized Senator Clinton for suggesting that the Republican-controlled House is run like a plantation where dissenting voices are ignored. "It's a ridiculous comment," Mrs. Bush told reporters when asked about the remark. She headed home after reaffirming the U.S. commitment to help Nigeria treat AIDS patients and stem the spread of HIV. She said she hoped that "one day an entire generation" will be free of the disease that has ravaged Africa. Earlier, Mrs. Bush drove to the dusty outskirts of Abuja to visit a small AIDS clinic where a young woman told her of how drugs helped her escape death from the disease. Mrs. Bush visited a hospital, where there were enough anti-retroviral drugs to treat 500 people over the next year. It is the first U.S.- backed shipment of the drugs St. Mary's has received through President Bush's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief.
Americans Must Understand U.S. is at War: "The American people must remind themselves every day that the United States is at war, Army Lt. Gen. Ray Odierno, speaking at the American Enterprise Institute here, said today."
Welcome to Sanity Island!
MUCH MUCH TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FUNNY
I searched today's NYTimes, Baltimore Sun and Washington Post. Not even a mention much less a picture of the First Lady could be found. What a contrast to the enormous stories of the many Hillary/Chelsea vacations....very frustrating.
Thanks for the link, Chris is a great guy, who I agree with 99.9% of the time
silent_jonny should have seen that on last night's Dose where I already posted it, and commented that Barbara could be a model. :)
Thank you so much for that post...your take was exactly like mine...
Chrissy couldn't get back to Clinton fast enough...
It is just so obvious, that Chrissy and the libs would rather impeach Bush...than find out he was right to do what he has done...and killing these bad guys, and possibly establishing democracies in the Middle East, are just getting in the way of that...
Gosh...and since Chrissy's show it has been told that 2 more of the terrorists we killed were really high up in the Al-queda family tree...which is great news...
Betcha he doesn't even mention it tomorrow!
She is a very pretty young girl
If they grow in grace and spiritual strength as they age, and marry a man who adores them as much as their Dad adores their Mom, they may become as beautiful as she.....
Hi, If there are any Catholics on here tonight could you freepmail me? I got something in the mail today and I am very curious about it. Thanks.
Amen
Thanks :-)
I'd have to say that Barbara, the dark-haired twin is certainly as beautiful or even more beautiful than Laura. But Laura, of course, is a very attractive woman.
It showed up on last night's dose, here:

I had the misfortune to ramble over to Fox while Alan and Dick M. were hacking and slogging their way through an "interview" (cough). You had braver ears than I; I didn't stick around long enough to hear the fax comment. It's a good one.
I thought Alan was going to go apoplectic right there on national TV.
Thank you for:
1. Gutting it out to watch Matthews;
2. Giving another excellent report on what you saw.
I knew he reminded me of someone -- besides a man who goes to the church I used to attend in another city.
Hi Tx. It was a better-than-usual edition for a Wednesday -- as the WH site had lots of Laura photos. It seems that whoever puts up the Bush administration photos at Yahoo midweek has an especially snarled lip over the pubbies, and the photos are often not as good as on other days of the week.
Amen. Do you think the ACLU is going to be successful in stopping the NSA wiretapping? This lawsuit of theirs has my blood boiling.
